Thanks a lot for the tutorial. The way you explain things is really straight forward :) Rokoko on the other hand has either changed some settings to get people to use the paid 2-camera setup or you got lucky. I've tried everything, from perfect, body-tight clothing to clear lighting etc. The result was always completely unusable. It seems a lot of people have this problem lately
dang, that's unfortunate to hear! sorry you've been having trouble with it. Tbh, I haven't used Rokoko Video since making this video haha, so I'm not sure what the issue could be :/
Brother, I just wanna express my extreme gratitude to you, from 6 hours I was looking for how to add the lost textures in the .fbx file. None of the uploads helped me. But you my friend just saved a ton of time of mine. I know this is a stupid error for spending 6 hours but yeah im a beginner and I faced this issue. Thanks a ton my friend.
I just took some video of myself using your tutorial and I think I figured out the "lean forward" that Rokoko adds. We're used to putting cameras at about head-height. I put mine center mass and my model wasn't leaning forward. I think that Rokoko was translating the extra distance to the feet as forward lean instead of higher camera perspective.
@James Luke Sadly, I couldn't get my model's arm to stop clipping into the chest, but that might be because I'm 5'9" doing the Charleston, and my model was a 7' tall killer from "Dead By Daylight". But I'll keep tweeking. Your tutorial was awesome.
Yeah, all great, except fixing a t-pose. Here is the "hack": 1) Go to the first frame 2) Switch to the pose mode 3) Change armature bones to be in a Tpose 4) Shift+a (select all the bones) 4) now you go to pose - apply - apply pose as rest pose Boom) no addons needed🎉
I was thinking the same, there is no need of addon for that. Anyway I think Rokoko is amazing but still there is a lot of tweaking to do in Blender. I am waiting to try Wonder studio. It looks a game changer compare to anything exists right now in the market for free.
@@Mr.McWatson have you tried that method(13:57), shown in this video?) Or You can always do it manually in pose mode, then apply it as rest ;) Or Do it directly in edit mode as well

Can't people have the smarts to make this a lot more easy? Like on wwe wrestling u can just add a move mocap to your character an it puts it on straight away! Can't this program just do the same. Hey. Can i please ask, How did you import this model into blender? I tried to download this on cg trager. How do you import it into blender with the textures applied? PLZ make a tutorial!!! Thanks so much. P.S, good video!
the download should give you an fbx file that you can import into blender via file>import>fbx it should also come with textures that you can then import in the material editor. there's plenty of tutorials on youtube for that already.
Thankyou, this video helped a lot! but I do have 1 problem. I turned the armature keyframes into an "action" in the non linear animation tab (I also set blending mode to "combined"). But if I then want to adjust a bone in the timeline by creating a keyframe like you showed, then it overwrites then entire of the animation and the bone becomes fixed in that position unless I add more keyframes to move it manually, kind of defeating the purpose of the motion capture haha. Is this the case with you, or would you be able to help please? Many thanks
I've had this happen to me before too! I think to fix it you have to make sure there are absolutely ZERO keyframes on your armature before you retarget the animation. I think that's what the problem is... I *think*
@@JamesLuke Thanks a lot for the reply! Trying what you suggested sadly did not work. However, this got me thinking and after some digging I found that you need to add new adjustments as an additional action strip layer (probably not the correct terminology, but didn't know how else to explain). Hello channel owner. Do you have a video with detailed instructions on how to download and the conversion steps to be able to use the spider character like in this video. For example convert it to a fbx file for example
Hi everybody. I downloaded the 3D Spiderman character like the guy in this clip mentioned but I have a problem with the surface texture. I don't know how to import surface texture data. And the author who created the 3D model attached in the download package says: Thanks for buying the model from me ! Please credits me if you end up using them! Be aware that i'm using a uv method called UDIM so i sadly couldn't pack the textures in the blend you will have to retarget the body textures, everything is correctly labeled so you shouldn't have much trouble doing so Other things to be aware of : - The lenses are animatable just have to click on the frame and go into the mesh tab to find a shape key for them ! Someone please help !
I persoanlly do not sell any animation packs (working on that), but you can purchase premade mocap data at Reallusion Actor Core or Rokoko's Motion Library!
