I had this game for my DS, i wish i could have understanded videogames more when i had it, i was too young
I remember struggling like hell on this game
This was too hard of a game for a 5th grader..... So relatable
I was scared when I was young
Same, I got it in 2007 when I was 4, but I wasn't able to beat it until I was 5. I also didn't know how to 100% the game until I learned how to use the internet.
Same thing with me when I played zero mission, I ball morphed in lava 24/7 and then suffered at not knowing how to use the menu
You know, for a game on the DS, this is pretty damn impressive!
It was!! And i still love the game to this day, such an atmosphere. Too bad it's the least known in the Metroid series, for me it's my favorite game.
@@TachyBunker I kept seeing things in prime hunters and how many people say it's arthritis inducing, it always made me wonder why they would choose a FPS game with awkward controls over a 2D metroid game that would have worked better on the DS. I recently started playing my DS again and found a copy for £12 so decided to give it a try. I can now confidentiality say that this is indeed impressive, a great game and one of my favourite metroid games as well (dread and super still are ahead of that but I adore those games and now adore Hunters too)

I am playing it right now, got it for my birthday, ya know?
Sylux feels like the second antagonist of this adventure considering how much damage he does, how many phases his fight has, his goal of specifically sabotaging the federation, being the only hunter whose ship we see ingame and beside kanden being the only character to also appear outside of a fight.
And being the new antagonist for Metroid Prime 4 after the events of Metroid Prime Federation Force I'm betting.

It's a shame that the 3DS can't get a shooter games like this.
i just convinced my friend to start this game on an emulator tonight, se has played every other metroid game but apparently never knew they made one on the ds. at first when i told him it was for the original ds and was first person like prime on the gamecube, he was skeptical but we got a good control scheme set up on our emulator where he can control the camera with the mouse and move using wasd and shoot with space, he says it controls almost better than the original primes set up that way
I wish they would remake for the switch or 3DS.
But you can play it on the 3ds! Had it on my cartridge
41:39 if you use the Shock coil on him and his "brother" the fire spawn the health goes down incredibly fast.
Other than 2d Metroid games, this is the only Metroid Prime game that I can play and it's awesome :D
Try the first one it's considered the best 3D entry in the series but go a lot more careful on 2 and 3 they both have their share of problems.

I feel sorry for the other hunters because they didn't have a proper chance.
We need a new Metroid game with some more or returning hunters. Granted the multi-player would feel like Unreal Tournament, but still nice to flesh out the universe. Also I think Metroid easily rivals Star Wars in the bad ass Bounty Hunter gallery.
You say the multiplayer would feel like UT like it's a bad thing.
@@CyberLink70 Definitely didn't mean it as a negative connotation. More it wouldn't be anything we haven't seen before. Just letting people know what they would probably be getting into.

Dude I just started this game and this tutorial boss video helps! Such an awesome game. I missed this game so much so I started playing it on my android phone using the wee game pad and it works nearly perfect. Easily the best looking DS game and the multiplayer is a blast!
This game is best played in short bursts so you don't get hand cramps.

The Slench V.4 is a heck of a pain
I actually beated Gorea 2 with ease
I somehow had a problem with him since he kept disappearing all the time, Slench V4 was hard, Sylux for a hunter was quite the annoyance.
Y’a ol’ born coming back in time. Now ol’ born can beat all the bosses with ease.

For a DS game this has good graphics!
The thing I hated about this game was the repetitive nature of it. I wish they could've added more bosses, instead of having you fight the same ones over and over again.
That is why I love the final boss for being new and it was the only fight I actually liked. This game is solid with it's Metroid Prime nature, and I had fun for everything else... but I hated the bosses (especially Slench, the eye thing) and found them annoying and boring. Then the final boss hits and I actually had some fun in a fight! A novel concept I know!
This game could use a remake.

Yes, it's really cheap the Online Multiplayer can't be played since the servers went down after the Wii Shop Channel discontinued
@@u.dplaythroughs8486 that sucks, all the more reason for this game to get a complete remake for the switch, made from the ground up.
That and Samus Returns needs to come too that game needs the upscale.

it isn't easy playing a DS game on the Wii U Virtual Console it requires the Stylus and i don't like the stylus controls.
