    Mate a correction on your nozzle size. The plastic nozzle with the Divet on the bottom is 250CC and not 500CC as your mention. The 500CC has a cupped end and 1000CC flat end. The kit comes preinstalled with 500CC nozzle. This is as per info and instruction manual of AEM 30-3313 V3 nozzle kit.

    Should the nozzle be mounted on the bottom of the charge pipe( shooting up)? I imagine this to be safer so water cannot drip down into the pipe in the event of failure. Also, should the nozzle be at an angle or mounted 90 degrees into the charge pipe?

    I litterally want a kit that sprays just enough to clean my valves clean. Not worried about making extra power. For a vr30 what would you suggest?

      You can run pure distilled water in these kits. Pretty sure you don't need a tune if you run pure distilled water, but still talk to your tuner before installing.

      You should be perfectly fine with distilled water injection, but I still won't tell you to take some random person's words on the internet. Try calling a race shop somewhere and ask on the phone. They should be able to give you all the info you need.
      If you want a tune, they might even be able to send you one over email after getting some data from your car.

    Ok what about trucks with say 140k on then already. Say it cleans all the crap off my valves.. can it hurt my turbos? Or anything else?

      No it wont hurt the turbos. It will definitely help clean gunk off your valve train.

    I think water injection is better ,because you have the benefits of cooling and increasing octanes and you can tune your car with proper afr,with meth in the game afr is independent from meth that means you must have a second tune in the pocket for an empty tank.

      I'm still looking into this but I'm finding that you can still target 14.6 and adjust the manifold air temp timing tables so once the meth starts Temps drop, timing advances, and narrowband adjust fueling. This wouldn't be for power adder applications because the ltft would have way too much fueling to pull back but in a fuel economy applications and increase octane support maybe could work. Please correct me if I'm way off not much info out there

      This particular kit yes. They do make a different kit that uses map voltage as a signal for naturally aspirated cars

    i have a question on the 3.8 gens how do i clean my valves ?? a safe way lol , also iknow u guys probably dont care but i made a edit acouple of years ago of the btr genny 😍

      There are several ways but the most effective way is the walnut blast (many bmw performance shops will have the equipment as they are prone to this) also the water / methanol kit install will end up cleaning your valves for you over time as well. so if you don't feel like taking things apart and getting the cleaning done every once in a while, just get a water / methanol kit installed and have it steam clean your engine as you drive

      Every car would be different in amount of power gained by tuning for the meth

      @@zachsmith6550 the cleaning effects of the kit is worth it in it own sense but if you want more power out of it you will need to have it custom tuned

      If your car has a stock wideband and target lambda system, you can run this without a tune. However this will most likely not give you much power gains without a proper tune

    Hey so i bought a car with the V2 aem water /Methanol injection and I was wondering is there a way to turn it on and off as I please or is it on 24/7

    One question please ,how do u install it on super charger cars do u use the same boost line or using the map sensor signal ,I ordered my kit v3 one the controller does not have the boost line

      Yes boost signal off your map sensor using a map adapter would suffice

      @@BTRcarcustoms do u recommend to ran the boost line set up or the map sensor signal ,because we had an issue for the map signal it was keep pumping meth into the throttle bodys once we turned it on and ended up motor damage 💔 ,we put a switch on and off for the kit and I don't think we should've ,any info appreciated

    Can I choose when I want to run meth? Like if I run out of meth, will it cause problems for my engine?

      If you are tuned for meth, you want to stay on top of it. If you happen to run out as long as you stay out of boost until you fill up again it will work too

    Hi quick question ,just got my aem kit does the rear of your nozzle bit that connects to nylon hose have any play in it ,mine seems to spin slightly ...thanks

      It will have play until you plug a hose into it

    Hello. I just purchased the kit for a Jaguar XF 3.0L SC. Running both upper and lower the car is turned up to about 450 Bhp at 18psi boost. I just want to make sure, because the chart says I should be running the 1000cc nozzle? Is that correct? I understand the settings on the controller as well, but how do I know if I’m spraying too much boost juice? Btw…I’m not tuning for methanol. Just want the cooler iats and knock control.

      Sticking with what they recommend is an easy way but if you are looking for the benefits without tuning for it, running the smallest nozzle works just fine

      the amount of methanol is determined by the jets you use. This kit comes with 250cc, 500cc, and 1000cc as explained in the video

      The V3 will flow the same depending on the nozzle. The difference is V3 offers better atomization. So more surface area for the water to cool temps faster. Also finer mist=better burn and combustion of the meth side of things. Faster cooler air+easier/more efficient combustion= more power

    the water does the octant the methanol is a moot point do not even need it yea it stops freezing of storage water tank .i wish folks stop with teaching the novices technically wrong intell

      Methanol accelerates evaporation rate in a short intake system. It converts to gas first and leaves behind a smaller water droplet. This more fine aerosol cools even better.
      Methanol helps system function. Water does most of the octane boosting and air cooling.
