@@An.a-df6ny you need to take into consideration that roa had to adapt to 2 different languages at the same time and not just 1. And everyone is different so speaking clearly at the age of 3 is definetly above average if we speak of learning ability, . Even for adults it is difficult to juggle between 2 languages at the same time and sometimes your language is mixed caused by the frequent switches of either. I speak both danish/english/vietnamese, with danish as my main language i sometimes have to use english words in my speech because the amount of english i use in my everyday life. I simply forgot the equal definition of the words i wish to express in my main language and tend to use the english definition instead. Remember that this is no competition of who is faster or slower, its a matter of there being obstacles or not which evidently there ain't since she speaks perfectly fine imo. Without any doubt she would have started speaking sooner if she only had to focus on one language however this is not the case here since she was spoken to in two different languages simultatiously side by side for 3 + years, and you would have known had to followed the journey since the beginning :).

Joon, you are doing such a fabulous job of taking care of Roa and being patient with her. My brother didn’t talk until he was 3, my parents were worried about him until then. He went on to become an honor student and graduated with honors as a civil engineer and had a successful career. I have every confidence that Roa will catch up talking, and even if she doesn’t she is already such a bright and intelligent little girl for her age that no matter what, I’m sure she will find her way and become a successful young woman. I was like this! I didn't speak until 4, then it was full sentences. Back in the 80s. Also was learning two languages at the same time.
Roa has always shown a preference for mechanical toys. She can put them together almost instinctively. She’s a budding engineer. Beauty and brains.
