      Rhonda, I ended up letting my regular resin sit up about 30 minutes to thicken, then separated into cups and added mica powder. Then I drizzled on my cup, spread it, and turned it by hand. It looks amazing!

    You don’t have problems with dust being such big piece you don’t cover it why ?? Incredible

    • @RK3Designs
      @RK3Designs  2 роки тому

      I don’t worry too much about the DIST because I lightly sand between each coat. Then I sand before I roll on the Ultimate Top Cost. If I didn’t roll on the UTC, I would then cover the flood coat to protect from dust.

    Rhonda I've got to say that this is 1 of my favorites so far. Do you have any videos where you have gone over any vanities with the built in sinks in them? I've been hoping around in your video collection watching the different ones you've done but haven't ran across 1 like that. We spoke about the bathroom remodel that I'm doing changing from a tub to a walk in shower and because of the size restrictions I have to do it vertically.

    • @RK3Designs
      @RK3Designs  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you!! This is one of my favorites as well. I’ve only got a few where I do an integrated sink. You’ll either need to do some sort of design “pre” epoxy or use the thickener so you can trowel and the epoxy will stay and. It run.

    What happens with the painting brush you use to tap the epoxy ? Is it ruined ?. Can’t use it again ?. Thank you excellent demo

    • @RK3Designs
      @RK3Designs  2 роки тому +1

      Great question. I reuse my brushes over and over. Just squeeze out the excess then store it in an airtight container with acetone. Don’t try to clean and dry, it will get hard. Just remove from container when you’re ready to use again. Shake it out, slightly dry and use. 😊

    This is a stunner!! Are there any preparations I need to make before I stonecoat my formica countertop, sanding or priming

    • @RK3Designs
      @RK3Designs  3 роки тому

      You’ll want to router or sand your edges so they aren’t completely at 90 degrees and then make sure you use a good bonding primer. I like XIM the best. Here’s a video that talks about pouring over existing material.

    Would you have had the same outcome if you had done a dirty pour?

    • @RK3Designs
      @RK3Designs  3 роки тому

      I think a dirty pour with these colors would be gorgeous, but because there’s so much more product used in a dirty pour, you wouldn’t be able to manipulate like I did and get the same out design.
