But they became really popular at the beginning of the 20th century due to immigrants in the USA. Especially New York. That's the great thing about America. Good ideas prevail.
Yes! I always find that jarred sauce just needs a little bit of love. While it's not exactly Italian, I do sauté bell peppers along with the onion and garlic and add fresh spinach to the sauce at the end.
Well I finally made the meatballs as an Italian I approved 💯 moist delicious. The smells reminds me of my childhood. I use bison and a local ground pork. Amazing ❤
Your meatballs recipe is very close to my meatloaf recipe. I use tomato juice for additional moisture and nut crumbs for the binder instead of almond flour.

This looks amazing, I am going to give it a try. Thank you ! Also, one thing I noticed in the video is how you scraped the garlic press with your knife. I used to do this, but try using using the back of the blade instead of the cutting side of the blade. It won't dull or damage your blade that way, but works just as well. Great video !
If you brown the meatballs but finish them in the sauce, all that lovely fat ends up in the sauce and you get the BEST flavour. Plus you cut down on pans, though finishing them in the oven is a great idea anyway.

The oat flour is good, or just regular oat meal works well, i usually add oatmeal to my meatloaf and it gives a nice fluffy texture!
