interesting video. I have an interest in opening an indoor shooting range, but I expect the cost is prohibitive and the state I live in is extremely hostile towards gun owners.
If many of your customers are police officers, veterans, service members…we are paying them wayyyyyy too much money… Ive got a 3 million dollar home, 40 acres, and having a range built now…the concrete/excavation alone was $70k….the hvac system was $65k…thats not even started on the building itself…2400 sq foot building to give me 60ft/20yds…just the framing/drywall/windows…no roof…$180k, roofing another $45k, electrical $35k…thats $400k for just the shell of the building with zero range put in… Putting in a 2 lane range with the equipment, controls, screens, backstop, $135k…so now we are at $535k for what i would consider a basic, no frills building with a basic no frills range set up… Im also comfortable with getting a 50% return on my investment meaning, the person who buys my house is most likely not going to another gun enthusiast…they arent going to pay a premium to have a gun range and they will most likely want to convert it to something else…so at most it may add $225k to my selling price…for the building…maybe…most likely less… So you know a lot of police officers that have an extra half million lying around on top of the size of the property you need to hold a decent range…if you do, they need to be investigated…you are not a company of the people…you cater to wealthy gun collectors…
