I am glad you're carrying the torch on sound modules, I have some ideas I'd like to run by you sometime on the speaker/transducer output setup. Anyhow look forward to seeing more things from you, Im a fan.
You said you read the comments so I have a suggestion. . . often we get airplanes like this, un-cover them and recover them in schemes of our choice and personalization. We would like to see these kits also available in un-covered form which has to be easy for you guys.
It's a wrong soundfile because it's sounds like a rotary engine....listen to a old rhinebeck fokker d7 and notice the difference anyway is a cool idea for those who wanna go electric
That's awesome guys! Nice to see the Mr RC sound system on a giant, easy to install it in plane...I've seen it crammed into smaller foamy warbirds many times, but this is way cooler. Will you be selling it at HH? (Mr RC sound) As far as what can you do next...how about the Thursday thunder all about the model video on the Fokker we have been asking for since it was announced? Please. Pretty please.
The engine noise mixed into the video at the start is from a Fokker D7 Mercedes inline 6 but the motor noise supplied with the program inside the aircraft is of a Fokker DR1 Triplane that uses a rotary engine with an ignition interrupter. It is surely not the correct sound for the D7. Fabulous idea but with the correct Mercedes engine sound.
now install a wireless amp inside the plane, while someone plays guitar through it from the ground. they`ve had wireless systems for guitars for decades, and you have a flying amp right there so, your half way there. :-)
Just finished a page in my website about the D.VII. I have tried to put all the information I could find on one page. Please take a look here-www.rc-airplanes-simplified.com/rc-fokker-d7.html
Thanks. We are using a new Rimfire 170 motor that was developed for models such as the D7. ESC is a talon 120. Battery. We are using 10s 2p. So 4x 5s 5000 Mah packs. The model needs the weight for balance and this set up gives us 10-15min flights on one charge.
Full details and the ability to buy modules can be found on my web site-www.rc-airplanes-simplified.com/rc-sound-system.html. I use the units in foam and balsa and ply models
William Murgita definitely a short stack inline engine sound. Rotaries did not have throttles..they were either on, off, or blipped by the pilot for partial power. I agree that it is very cool!
@@balsumfractus Have been listening to the rotaries run at Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome for 40 years .Know all about them ! They also have an original Mercede's inline six in there repoduction Fokker DVII . Just didn't sound right to me . I think my hearing is going bad in my old age !
☠BLACK BARON☠ iWould offer scale aero modelers a reduced price-kit. They can do the covering and painting by themselves. ORATEX cover foils ... Made in Germany. Scale RC Engines is offering great scale details as an "Add-On" to make it look even better. Thank you.
For those who act like they know what they are talking about, saying "the sound file is wrong"... You're wrong. The sound file is very accurate. The discrepancies are within the system's limitations. Model planes can't produce the sort of bass or Doppler effects the real ones can due to weight restrictions preventing proper speaker types that can produce a wider modulation. While traducers are ideal to avoid heavy voice coils, cones and excursion issues, they also require proper tuning to get the most dynamic frequency range. In other words, a specific size/material parabolic plate boxed into a bose type snail shell enclosure would amplify what they have here by probably 2-3 times with a much broader frequency range. Anyhow here is a real D7 for those that said the file was wrong> ua-cam.com/video/gOT8A2ZX6XM/v-deo.html
@@ZacYates While it totally does sound like a rotary, that is actually the sound of a Mercedes D.IIIaü under load. Here's an example of the full scale: ua-cam.com/video/rpJIbujIviY/v-deo.html
@@beta175 I've been up close with multiple flying Albatri and a D.VII reproductions with Mercedes fitted and their start sequences *do not* sound like this model. Note also I commented on the start (and should have also said idle), *not* the inflight. Agree to disagree.
I’m amazed that technology still can’t allow the hobbyist to make their model sound like the real deal. Scale engines don’t do it, speakers are weedy and weird. And why does this model sound like it’s got a rotary up front instead of a 6cyl Mercedes or BMW when it started? That was weird!
Thanks for the great video of my sound module guys! I did not realize you were doing one.

At the first start it sounded more like a rotary engine to me, but still awesome.

I love the plane and I love the sound....... I just wish the covering had a flat finish.
Nicely done guys!
DVii had a Mercedes in-line engine....different sound but that was still very cool!
A umx version would be cool

Love the new sound ! Amazing!
Wrong engine noise. The fokker DVII doesn't have a rotary.
Sounds great ,cool dude!!
That sounds amazing!!!
umx YAK3 with flaps and a retractable landing gear would be a challenge. This is my dream....
This has been around for a few years now
Fantastic airplane!!!

It would be cool to build a scale UH1 Huey helicopter and use this sound system for the jet engine and the thwop thwop of the main rotors.
I would like to see a big P-61 BLACK WIDOW
Is that a rotary eng??? That’s ridículos....
Rather see a 1/4 scale hanger9 L-4 GrassHopper Cub ! ! !
There were Fokkers to the left of me. Fokkers to the right. There were Fokkers all around me.

Just gotta say that model is one badass mutha' fokker yo!
But its the totally wrong engine sound!! It sounds like the Oberursel Rotary Engine but must sound like the Mercedes Inline Engine 😉

A rotary engine, not an inline six.

Why so late to the party🥴 but hey better late then sorry😂. Now team up with the guy and bundle it on all planes🤪
