CRACKED HEAD INSTALLING LAST VALVE GUIDE

This sucked big time! All valve guides were installed except the last one so I decided to record it. JINX! I ended up buying a used set of 1981 or later shovelheads on eBay. I lapped the valves in and bolted them on. Got a real good deal on them too.

Sucked big time! I haven't updated this project in quite awhile. The bike runs like a "Raped Ape" and hopefully I will find the time to finish uploading all the videos and info in the near future. I am working on an ironhead rear cylinder head with sticking dry valves and no seating on the exhaust valve-- I needed this inspirational video. The absolute rage can be felt even a year later. Here's to being able to work on your own shit!

HMMM put valve guide in fridge and put head in oven and heat. I did that on my 79 Kz1000 and it worked like a CHARM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like he tried to put in 80" guides in a 74" head! Micrometers are a wonderful tool!!

Hence, "in a hurry and cut corners." but you are exactly right. Hot shovel-heads in your lap can be extremely hard on the hard on though. I didn't put the guides in the freezer either. Thanks for commenting.
