You’re welcome Tony and many thanks for your comment, there is something quite emotional about these living, breathing machines continuing to work in these high-tech, digital times.
Wonderful stuff as usual, David . . . it's the composition and framing that elevate your work above the rest. As I've mentioned in the past that I'm a member of the Guild of Railway Artists, I thought you might be interested to know that I had one of my drawings selected for New York's first ever exhibition of railway art last summer. Looking forward to seeing more videos!
Thanks so much again Roger, greatly appreciated feedback especially knowing about your excellent work. Congratulations on having one of your drawings selected for the exhibition - a great achievement and something I will have to look up. The Transatlantic interest in railways and steam is alive and well!
Many thanks again C&A, it sure would, such an impressive loco. It was a nice day to be up Whernside for that, and good to hear them working up to Blea Moor from so far away.
Many thanks again Simon, very much appreciated. We definitely could, and it was great when 70000 ran without a diesel over the S&C in 2019 - shame it hasn’t been seen much since.
the master panning planner achieves it once more. Panning from a distance gives you , and us more of the train in the landscape. More time watching steam . Not just the flash as it passes brilliant again
Thanks so much Amacf, greatly appreciated. I love filming steam in the landscape but I know some viewers prefer the close-in shots and haven’t got the time for long sequences. Each to their own I guess and a bit of both works for me. As a keen Fellwalker too, it’s always great to film steam from up on high and then, after it’s gone, I get to potter about on the tops for a bit. Many thanks again, always love reading your comments.
Hi Allan, thanks so much, nice to know someone remembers that one! It’s not currently online but I’ll perhaps have to resurrect it now you’ve mentioned it 😁 Thanks again, David.

@Linesider1 The Fellsman's in 2019 with 70000. Are for me, some of the best runs over the S&C, in the past decade.
