I believe ND stands for Neutral Density and simply bring light down a stop. I would find it odd that they would only give one ND filter and then have color correction filters in camera rather than just using white balance to set for Daylight or tungsten light color correction
Appreciate the tip. At the time, we broadcast everything in interlaced, and therefore, shot everything in interlaced. Now, I shoot everything in progressive.
Hi, I am thinking about shooting a short film that would have a 80s vibe to it. Would this camera work for such a concept to do it the authentic way without using any filters. Also what would be the footage resolution of such a camera. Film festival generally demand a HD print for screening the film. Would this camera work?
It's been years since I've touched this camera, but I don't believe it shoots in anything less than 1080i HD. For an '80s vibe, I'd encourage you to find an actual camera from the '80s, shoot with that, and then upconvert to HD. The resolution won't be nearly as good as if it were shot in 1080i HD, but '80s resolution was about 480i anyway. FX Factory and Pixel Film Studios both have some great plugins for FCP and Premier that create a really good analog look. It would be a lot less expensive to go that route.
It's been years, but I remember the mics were Azden brand, and the battery system was Anton Bauer. We didn't use wireless video transmission with them. It was all recorded on the P2 cards or hardwired with SDI for live broadcast.
@@beatusmongous lol I realized when I looked at the video the date was a while back lol . I love your video I’m looking into using the HPX370 for start up news business then I can upgrade later lol when I can afford the new stuff lol
My current setup does not have autofocus, and I don't believe any camera of this type will have an autofocus. Personally, I don't like autofocus as it tends to focus on the brightest object in the shot, and sometimes that's not the subject.
Thank You for this video I have a upcoming shoot I'm shooting a basketball tournament using this camera..never used it before so thanks for the info.
Great overview. Thanks a million. Looking forward to more.

Seems to be confusing neutral density with white balance here..
There are cameras with two filter wheels, one with ND filters and another one for color correction. But that's not the case here.
Great runthrough! Very clear and instructive. Thanks!
Very nice camera
Gostei de ver a esplicaçâo da camara, mais eu quero saber mas do manual da interior pra poder a certar a minha camara tambem que é uma HPX370.
for the mic flag i meant to say telemundo las vegas
I like your camera and mic flag for telemundo alanta
a tip, convert your video from interlaced to progressive, and loose the stripes ;-)
Appreciate the tip. At the time, we broadcast everything in interlaced, and therefore, shot everything in interlaced. Now, I shoot everything in progressive.
Please post one on the basic menu functions!
I will do so as soon as I can. Thanks for the suggestion.

What is your mic pack and wireless hardware models and your special power pack?

Excellent
Can the screen, and viewfinder work at the same time?
I think so. I've been away from that company since 2017, so I don't remember if it did.
What Kind of jobs do you do with this setup?
I do commercial production with these cameras, but this setup is often used for news gathering.
Ok the news gathering and events are my interests just got an 800p
Thank You! :) Great help for me :)
Are tally light works only with SDI input?
Not sure. I haven't worked there since 2017, and I don't have one of those cameras anymore.
Is there an autofoucs option with this? I use a 300p
