I like those motor mounts, they turned out great.Great work Karl!!!!! Can’t wait to see how it turns out. You can build just about anything you need with your skills and your tools. Love your shop.
VERY impressed with your motor mount design and fabrication. That engine ain't going nowhere. I am very impressed with your knowledge and skills I've been fabricating over 55 years. I like it when I hear people comment about my work"that looks factory made" in other words not a cobled up piece of crap.
I started watching you last night, I think that you are great. You explain things very simply, even when they are complex. Chopping a 1960 Caddy! Thanks
Want to say hello and respect , from me, I’m Russian, but long time I’m living aboard at Asia now. You have a gold hand and i have a dream meet with you and take some your classes and work with you! Metal my life too! Cheers 🍻
Well done great mounts and so well explained I’m going to make my mounts this way now thanks to you buddy keep that motor Running mate cheers Larrysullivan in London cheers
I don't like the engine too low in the engine bay either. Just doesn't Look right. Nice work man! Doing a 41 Chevy pickup and I had to tell my friend nope that engine is too low. He agreed that it looks Much better my way. 😎👍
Thanks man!! It's been quite the build so far! Had to put a hold on it for the time being, because of some by law BS happening at the shop right now. Have to find a new space to do customer work
I know that this is an old video, raising the front of the engine, would it not change the drive /tailshaft angle??? Thank Halfass for a great recommendation 👍👍👍👍👍👍
What press finger brake press are you using? Who makes it? Looks custom. I need to add one to my garage. Love your content! Very clean. Keep up the great work!
That stand-up forklift is cool as all hell, What's the load capacity and who's the manufacturer of it? Oh by the way, your fab. skills are awesome too!
Like your builds! Do you have a 1-???# video build of your roadster? I’m starting a project of a nailhead powered 48 Anglia Roadster( “phantom Anglia”. I like engine mounts, where did “donuts” come from? I like your Curtis style bars, do you show a video making them ? And dozens more questions…. Thanks!
Have any experience pouring polyurethane to rebuild an old engine mount? I'm having bad luck matching my stock mount with off the shelf mounts that don't line up on the engine side though they're supposedly for my engine. Though the old rubber is falling apart I surprisingly don't have vibration problems, I'm just doing the transmission mount and don't want to do the work again in a few years if the motor mounts get worse.
When you are cutting/drilling a series of holes and each one is going to be larger is there a formular to determine the location of each hole, or do you just use the size of the drill bit or say die and place it, in the next location and fit it? Example: A triangular piece of material and you want the holes to be larger and in proportion as you move from the smaller to the larger end. Thanks. I hope I was clear enough.
I am not the guy who goes crazy about everything being of one brand, but I do question why, since you are building from scratch, aren't you using a Ford engine and tranny?? Again, I am not a "purist", but I think if I were building something from scratch, I'd try to make it all of one brand!! Most times people tell me they use chevy engines due to them being a dime a dozen and more than that because they are easier to fit into tighter packages... I very typically see Chevy engines in 20's - 40's Mopars and the cheap and tight thing falls to the BULL SHIT bin as 318's and 360's were more than plentiful for decades!!!! Even overdrive trannies!!!! And if they were really worried about space, a 904 tranny is smaller than a 350 GM!!! The thing that really made me question this is that if you had used a Ford engine, the dizzy is in the front of the engine, so no need for the sculpted firewall...
I think when it comes down to it there’s no right or wrong way it’s just whatever somebody wants. I have no opinion one way or another. I love a beautiful engine just as much as anybody else but a small block Chevy can still look interesting. This is a customers project
The small block chevy has more speed equipment available for it and it's cheaper. Also availability, remember the last gen1 small block was built in 86? The real question is have you ever tried to sell an early ford hot rod with a small block Ford? I have and it took time. If the car had a SBC it would have sold more quickly.
This video would translate to most vehicles, thank you!
Bring back the mini Buick. I'm a big fan of your work and I would like for the mini Buick to return after 2 years
Good to see energetic custom builds from younger crafters like you! thanks for your great video!

Is there a public site where I can chat with you personally and get your advice and thoughts on my Jeep build
Yeah hit me up on Instagram
Hello sir I have a old 35 chassis with a 45 chevy cab and I'm wanting to put a LS3 in it. What motor mounts do I need to get?
0:39 lets not act like bro aint back there playing my shittttttt
What exactly do those mounts come from i have never seen those and i do fords mosly

I wish there was. I just draw a border then play with hole sizes that are spaced nice and are consistent on the border
@@MakeItKustom Sounds like a plan to me. Thanks MUCH for getting back and you guys be cool and take care.
Why would you use a 700r4 when you can use a 460 and have the shifting via switch
Whats the thickness of the metal using to make mount?
For the body shop which caliper do l buy the manual or digital ?
I prefer manual but doesn’t matter much
how much would it cost me to get a set of motor mounts for my 81 rx7 got a 77 sbc going in
Sorry I can’t do that for ya 🙏
Was this a custom frame?
Will u have clearance for the driveshaft now or will u be trimming?
I do have driveshaft clearance thankfully
Rubber motor mounts don’t have screws or nuts on the bottom?
These have a shoulder bolt that go from underneath and nut on the top
@@MakeItKustom thanks man!
No need for harding the mounts?
No good with the steel as they are
BADD ASS...
What metal brake is that your using?
This is a homemade brakeusing Accu press dies
