    • 250g (0.55 lbs) ground beef
    • 1 red onion, sliced
    • 1 tomato, sliced
    • 1 bell pepper (capsicum), sliced
    • 1 small onion, chopped (for sautéing)
    • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp black pepper
    • 1 tsp smoked paprika
    • 1 tsp chili powder
    • 1 cup passata (tomato puree)
    • Fresh parsley, chopped
    • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
    • Olive oil

    1. Prepare the Beef Filling:
    In a skillet, heat a bit of oil and sauté the chopped onion until softened. Add crushed garlic, then sprinkle in salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and chili powder. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Pour in the passata, stirring to combine. Let simmer for a few minutes, allowing flavors to meld. Stir in chopped parsley for a fresh finish. Set aside.
    2. Prepare the Bread Boat:
    Take the loaf of bread and cut off the top, creating a lid. Hollow out the inside of the bread, creating a “boat” to hold the filling.
    3. Assemble the Bread Boat:
    Begin by adding a layer of the cooked beef mixture inside the hollowed bread. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, then layer in sliced red onion, tomato, and bell pepper. Finish with another layer of mozzarella cheese for an extra cheesy top. Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the top.
    4. Bake:
    Place the assembled bread boat on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden.
    5. Serve:
