The super resolution is becoming common practice in other electronics (like in pixel video mode). Basically AI is guessing what a pixel would look like if it existed in between other pixels. You can think of it like those crime TV shows where they make blurry images (like license plates) into clearer images.
Would love some commentary on the picture quality increase from the 335 to the 635 Thermnights. And how does the thermal sensor compare to other 640 res thermals on the market. The listed specs seem really good.
To me, the 384 looks better than the 640 at distance because the base magnification is higher on the 384. The 640 has a MUCH wider FOV which is beneficial for scanning. The DAY/night IQ between them is the same, which is a slight improvement over the 225R. Unless you need a very wide FOV in thermal, the 384 seems to be the best choice for the money.
The super resolution is probably just interpolation between pixels. Look up super sampling anti aliasing. I really doubt it has anything to do with the AI buz word. If so I'd like to know the patent number.
Is that milspec?
lol so it begins
Would you trust a Marine with this thing?
lmao good lord man
Good update on the DNT products! I'm a Zulus user now and hope to be a TN635R user in 2025.
Waiting for the DNT fusion model, when will that be available.
14:56 just parts and labor? What else is there? Shipping?

Great to see Matt and Nick on screen!
Great price point
So Solscud left TFBTV for DNT? He made a few vids on DNT optics.
Can you plug in bigger external battery with this 635?
Whats the battery setup on the hydra? Two 18650 rechargeables? Can you switch one while on for uninterrupted use? External battery port?
What’s the details on that rad shirt, Kevin?
