They def earn their customer’s trust and business. Thanks guys.

Best video on high end LAD I've seen in a while. You guys really sold me on what Wilcox did on the civ version, but one thing that was missing was a comparison against the OGL and then I'll be comfortable to make a decision.
The best part about that RAID XE is the included remote/switch. I find it so odd that most people do not use it. You can make it so the middle button is hi/hi and the back button is flood/lo and you can instantly switch between them with a button press. I make the last button set to whatever I have the rotary on, this way you can quickly turn it on and off as well (make sure it's on a high setting or it will lock out high options on remote/switch), but you can set it to whatever else you want and can even get an aftermarket switch that will plug into your surefire and turn that on with one of the buttons. The buttons on the switch are different shapes too so you can easily discern them with your thumb. Also, I don't think this was covered, but you can set the illuminator and/or the laser to any output setting you want. You just click the middle button and then tap the up and down buttons when the setting you want to adjust is double-clicked on and the value will show on the display. This gives you the ability to turn down the high laser on the gov version so it doesn't blow out your NODs.
@@kevin11288 @__K__B__ it's definitely due to the super long inflexible cable coming straight out the back. If it instead came out at a right angle I'd be inclined to use it. You give up a ton of functionality by using an aftermarket switch, but it is just not feasible to give up all of the real estate behind the LAM to support the cable (not even the switch).
@@customnightvision you can buy an mlok mount that mounts it under the top pic rail off to the side. Fits well on my 11.5 KAC although the original plug/cable is huge
You can also tune the long range illum/laser for our exterior environment, and then leave your short range on room mode, and just hit the mode selector.
@@customnightvision The reason I add this, is that the middle button is dependent upon press duration, etc. while the switch can simply toggle between the two and provides tactile feedback. On several occasions, I have gotten long throw when I expected short, and the opposite, just using the soft touch middle button.
Great video, good information and comparison between civ and restricted. Could you do a deep dive on how you can program the switch? This seems to be a key feature about the raid that no one goes into. Again, great job
Turn it on - hold up and down button at same time for a second - the menu is now active on display, - click down to "remote" option and click middle button and then set as you want. It's very easy. Also, do not use the included mount for remote. Just double side velcro tape it on a 45. It works much better like that on most rails.
Hey, so I just checked the specs for the IR Illuminator on both the regulated and civil versions: the civilian IR illuminator is only 25 mW based on the technical data sheet from Wilcox website.
How is wilcox with repair/warranty of full power lasers that are in possession of both normal civilians or individual officers as opposed to an agency proper?
@@kevin11288 Correct me if I am wrong. But I thought the biggest drawbacks on non FP lasers regulated by the FDA was the weak flood lights that have a hard time defeating light barriers under NV. I'm tracking that the upcoming new Holosun will have a similar tech to the MAWL that isn't limited by the FDA and should be comparable (least that's what a store owner told me when they got a product demo) to the more powerful stuff out there for a 3rd of the cost b.c. made overseas.
@@customnightvision Right on, thanks for the info. Gotta pinch my pennies atm (college student) but anything new that can give people equal capabilities to FP options is a win in my book.
Great in depth video of the Raid. As if I needed any more reason to buy one 😂 Question though, what happened to the green vis variant of the commercial power version? Sucks they only are available in red right now. Red laser is fine… when it’s juiced up to full power like the NGAL AND FP XE, but for a 5mw laser a green vis is so much brighter then red. The 5mw red is kinda useless outdoors except at night.
I want to know how this thing stacks up against an OGL. This is relevant to me because I use a hydra so easy access to illumination throw adjustment is a big concern. I like a lot of the features on the raid and frankly the civ versions of it or an ogl will be more than adequate for the intended purpose I have.
Do you guys have this in-depth of a comparison between the MAWL C1+ and RAID XE? I’m looking through the catalog but y’all put out a lot of content 😂❤️
Ive been asking this and have not found an answer... Is the Wilcox Raid XE rated to handle .308? I heard you mention 5.56, 6.5mm , and .308 when you were talking about the different variants but I have not found an absolute answer to this. Please and Thank you!
I will not say who but at $4000 for a salty one i not only immediately looked to see what they were selling for used (shocked) but it didn’t pass my ethics test. Feel free to PM me for more.
