If you use it with new videos and you have a good thumbnail and a bad thumbnail it will show your bad thumbnail to people which will get you less views. So the best way to use the feature is to go back to your old videos that you think should have done well or that you wanted to do better and start doing thumbnail tests on them because that'll automatically force UA-cam to test the thumbnails which will give it more views than it would normally. So the feature is a lot more powerful for reviving old videos than for making new videos do better.
