Also MASSIVE changes for the domination tree, those new runes are going to be spicy good - i can't wait to try them on live servers. The middle one is gaining 6 trinket haste instead of 4 and deep wards are lasting 30 more seconds. Crazy value!
Your guide is very good, bro! I'm from Brazil, and I really like Yorick! Seeing you play Yorick Jungle made me reawaken my desire to play Jungle this Season. I'm going to completely focus this season on playing with him. Please keep posting videos and knowledge about him! Thank you very much.
I have taken a real liking to Yorick jungle and my main problem seems to be with the early game. I don't know whether to level 6 rush or gank more, that balance I need to learn. I will try out the lethality build as well, I have always liked lethality on Yorick. Really nice tip on the dragon and I have also seen the new focus on grubs as the first objective for the feat. Would you reccommend the domination path for a measly Plat-Diamond player on TR server or the axiom arcanist type? The games do you usually go long on these elos. 20 to 30 min minimum or rarely a domination 15 min surrender. Loving the explanations and your thoughts on the new season. Wishing you success!
It depends on your MMR range TBH - i think for most ranges, you should be able to full clear and still get a gank off. Your level 6 powerspike is insane and too hard to pass up, especially if you can get it before their first buff respawns and then contest them for it. Level 6 yorick vs enemy level 5 jungler is not fair at all. Just saw you're plat-diamond, definitely full clear and see how you go with getting a high cspm/early level 6. The domination tree is always good because it reduces your ultimates downtime, you just have to be okay with skipping the aiding runes like Approach velocity and boots which cover your weakness in getting kited/ms.
Any new thoughts on jungle matchups? I'm finding Wukong early to be pretty stank. While you ultimately just out scale him, he is so sticky in fights and skirmishes as he has multiple ways to nullify W.
You're not the only person that's said this to me, it seems a lot of people are having issues with it. He's similar to Zac where he has a lot of disruption, where it's his clone or ultimate constantly CC'ing you and interupting your damage output. The difference with him is he can die easier and tends to go for the massive combo ult and ignore you. Liandry's is good against him since it reveals him while he's invisible, but it's mostly a battle of the early game against him. Try a lethality approach and see if you can get an early lead against him, you probably won't win the 1v1 as straight bruiser - just be careful you aren't doing all your damage to the clone. He doesn't clear too well so he's pretty vulnerable to counter jungling, and don't try too hard to get your bot lane ahead against wukong because he's just going to get onto them anyway. Your main carries will be top and mid in that game style because he plays so anti-backline that your work will be for naut. Perhaps play topside heavy and try to get your top ahead, that way there is double bruisers and he will have to pick between dealing with the person that's on his backline (your top/you) or the adc dealing damage from afar.
Bro when you see how fast you take objectives and the fact that everyone is running around trying to secure them, you put serious value on the lethality early game. It's just hard going from a tanky playstyle to lethality, but with the amount of darn teamfights, you don't even notice being not tank because i'm dying during the fights anyway as a tank lmao.
The feats definitely feel overrated. Having played 20 games live and 30ish on the PBE. I think it’s DEF feeling overinflated, but I’ll say it also feels like all the people playing THINK it’s important. It’s not that strong, and neither are the boots, but it feels important to your team. It’s entirely placebo, honestly.
Yeah, it's almost like when one team get early objective they're statistically more likely to win anyway, the boots make little difference in that regard. I think half that is also just tilt tbh. Most of my games are surrender at 15 even when the game was somewhat even, just because one team calls it a loss the moment feats are claimed.
Go follow Slogs and Incursio's climb on Korea!
