      Its good stuff! Its nice to see someone making products for the overall driveability of these cars. Its not always about adding more power

    Top Kit! 2 of my favourite content producers in one video. Simple and net stuff no BS. Is this also copatible for a 90 series IFS? Cheers!

      If it falls under the N60 umbrella then yes. Youll have to do some google-ing about what model you have

    Hey Rob, I just bought this kit from BBG as well and will install in my '04 Hilux ASAP. Q) Did your local wheel aligner have any concerns or issues working with these ball-joints? Like did they ask you any road worthy/engineering certificate type questions for example? Cheers man keep up the awesome vids!

      They didnt care about any of that. I just told them what i'd done and what to expect when they got stuck in to it. I told them to allow extra time as they may need to take off the wheel to play with the nuts and bolts that adjust the camber and they were happy to help!

    Mate absolutely love your content, can you give me more info on your whole suspension setup, I’ve just bought a 2004 KZN165 and looking to put the best quality lift, I’m not after crazy or body lift just something to fit 32-33” tyre comfortably without scrubbing and damaging everything. Any info would be appreciated Thankyou and keep up the quality content which 99% of UA-cam videos lack 👌🏽

      Thanks for the positive feedback!
      Stock torsion bars, Pedders shocks, Pedders upgraded/ 2 inch lifted rear leaf springs - 250kg (to suit my tools, canopy and fridge etc), BBG complete ball joint kit, marks 4x4 front diff drop, adjustable/extended greasable rear shackles from ebay and polyurethane bushings in the control arms. Everything else is standard but new (as in the steering dampener, tie rod ends etc) No body lift because cbf. I highly recommend manual locking front hubs as the cherry on top. wheels are 33x12.5 R15. Rims are 15x8-22. I would recommend that a better tyre and wheel combo is 33x12.5 on a -44 rim or a 33x10.5 on a -22 rim. My tyres dont touch my upper control arms but I would like to see a little more clearance tbh.

    Hey rob ,,any flow up updates after a year of using this kit!?.
    Cheers.

      I don't have a single complaint. Alignment is fine, tyres don't seem to be wearing out at all thanks to the ability to align the wheels correctly.
      The ball joints themselves aren't leaking grease and haven't split but some minor cracks on the surface of them are starting to appear.
      All of the metal components are good as new

    Great video also your lokka installation video is very good. Can I ask what size wheels and tyres you are using. I was thinking of 16 x 8 with a n22.

    • @dingeldiy
      @dingeldiy  9 місяців тому +1

      Thanks mate!
      Currently running 15x8-22
      Tires are 33x12.5 but for this rim I'd recommend a 33x10.5
      If you want to run 33x12.5 comfortably I'd suggest using a rim with more offset something like a 15x8-44

    You say these parts suit all N60 models with IFS. I'm a Yank so not familiar with N60. I have an 86 4Runner. Would you consider it an N60? Thanks.

    How’s the alignment after you go 4wding? I had the ball joint spacer that you replaced and every time I went off road it would throw the wheel alignment out

    • @dingeldiy
      @dingeldiy  2 роки тому

      Alignment is still good, been off road once since install and its fine!

    Hey mate, what offset were your rims for these? I know it says -22 is needed on their website but I’m wondering if I can get away with less…

    • @dingeldiy
      @dingeldiy  2 роки тому

      My rims are -22
      Could maybe get away with less offset with an 8inch wide tire

    Hey Rob, I have also bought the same lift kit and installed on my 04 Hilux. My CV angle is so bad with these installed that when the car is on jack stands the wheel cannot rotate. Any idea why this might be happening. Thanks

    • @dingeldiy
      @dingeldiy  Рік тому

      Your CV's are binding meaning the angle is too great. You'll need to install a diff drop kit or back off the torsion bars to compensate for the new lift kit. See if you can fix the binding without buying the diff drop kit but I highly recommend installing one either way. I have made a separate video about my diff drop kit on my channel
