For those who want to know what happened!! After installing the ram I for got to unplug battery and the power cord for the screen was not secure and it shorted 😒 god bless your honestly My wife will be happy lol....

You need use the process of elimination to narrow down the problem, then decide if you should or should not spend the time to work on the device. If you lack the knowledge, make it a habit to learn new things everyday, it will make your repairs faster.

hi , i got my macbook pro a1278 after logo apple then the screen just show pixel and sometimes goes blank screen . thats it gpu issue or just the screen connector ?

Theese donors are very helpfull for your repairs and you have exactly the same donors on your shielf no wait for spare parts no wait to check circuit diag.so we have to stock a huge spare donor board stock but how can we find them?

I was trying to make an upgrade and since then my Mac only make the Mac sound and show logo then get stuck there could this be the solution ?

I really wish I had your skills. It must feels really good to be good at repairing computers. My iMac from 2012 is getting white screen pretty often when I start up the computer. Then I am holding in the power button and the computer turns off. Then I drag out the power contact. And then after a while I put the power back and start up and everything works fine. Very often the computer is very slow after a start up, and I need to wait. Sometimes it takes an hour before the computer starts to be ok again. The bath ball shows up very often. Specially when using internett. But doing video editing it works pretty good. Do you think my computer can be broken inside?

Does a white screen on a 2014 macbook pro retina mean that the screen died or does it mean that a change in lvds or some components can revive it???the computer works with external monitor when hooked through hdmi

Very impressive work. I like the way you handle your troubleshooting methods. I have a question. I have a 2012 13" A1278 with a screen that is giving me a problem. Out of the blue it started a few days ago with dots and lines, also distorted images that flickered. Went through everything that was mentioned on the internet and nothing helped. Do you have any suggestions? I personally thing it has to do with the GPU. Would it be wise to upgrade replacing an i5 2.5 ghz logic board with i7 2.9 ghz logic board? Please let me know. How I fixed my Mac: My Mac pro 3.1, 2007 was hopeless. It flickered wildly and froze, and that was it. I tried everything suggested on this site and others, all of it, and it all failed. I was ready to throw it out or get a replacement logic board. But ONE command fixed it. One simple command. Just Press SHIFT when starting and that got it started in safe mode. Then shut it down and start it up normally. It started and is running normally. No kidding I - tried to start is at least 500 times (all combinatons of ALt, shift, control, command R, P, D, and failed 500 times. It would not start. But I found the suggeston myself and it worked!
Another wonderful work completed. What brand jumper wire do you use, as I am having problems with the ones I purchase online?

Okay I just figured it out you can use a jumper wire to it. Its an fusable resistance.

Why didn't you just went with jumper wire between elements instead arround❓ With this you could also streighten component position.

Looks like someone may have dropped a screw on the board when trying to upgrade the hard drive. Good fix.

I have got the same problem, but I could not find any damage on the motherboard. Is there any possibility that the display cable was broken?
The issue was found after I accidentally pushed the display connector on the motherboard, and it remains whatever I have done. I can go into the system, but all I see is the white screen. By the was, I am able to control the screen brightness, keyboard backlight. I am 100 percent sure the OS is working normally.
Could anyone give some ideas? Thanks a lot!!!

If you are referring to how he cleans the area, I am not mistaken:
1. He uses ear swab
2. Isopropyl Alcohol (Higher percentage is preferable)
3. He used tissue as well in this repair.
