This is strictly for badge shoppers. There are usually good reasons why they depreciate in value so much so quickly. As a previous European car owner I'm speaking from experience. I was willing to take anything for it just to get rid of it.

Just dreaming to finance some Toyota, Lexus SUV or Pick up, or anything.

@@alwayslearningthankyou2708 That's due to poor labor. In America, you must get the longest warranty possible. That way you don't pay for others poor hiring practices. The dealer doesn't care if they bankrupt you. An extended warranty changes the power dynamic in your favour

Maybe true for a Peugeot. However, most Mercedes are basically bulletproof, unless you have the wrong people working on them (and messing them up)
If your area has poor labor (or extra greedy dealerships), get the extended warranty. Easily pays for itself.

BUYER BEWARE! You buy that Audi Q5 at your peril. The repair costs when it breaks are through the roof. And break it will. Then add to it, the costly major service it needs at intervals, carbon build up on the cylinder heads, the oil burning. However, the Q5 looks awesome when hoisted on a lift.😅

I'll say some SUVs that look modern enough and are realiable are Jeep CG 2008-2009, Jeep Cherokee 2010 isn't bad either and Crand Cherokee SRTV8 2006-2008 if you like Jeep, this are the most realiable and modern looking ones, good interiors, nice looking on the outside and decently equipped.
For Range Rover i'll say the 2011 freelander, is a solid car, RR sport 2011 if ou want a more "luxurious" interiors.
Also Chevy Captiva and the 2008/09 Tahoe are also some nice SUVs, mostly the Tahoe i'll say.
The other really reliable ones look quite older and are unfortunatly outadet, like the Suzuki Jimny, Toyota Highlander and so on.
This are my picks for the most realiable/modern looking ones, some of them with some tuning would look way more expensive and cool, like 17" black rims and a new car painting.
      Hope this helps!

@@pelepoporo5251 Thanks, mostly Scotty suggests Toyota and Honda only, and those are great, but so hard to get at a good affordable price, because of the good brand name, and also because of the general hike in prices of cars due to COVID shortage.

@@rsrs6959 He also suggests Lexus too, the ones i named are the ones who are affordable even here in Europe try see some of them with not too high milege, maybe you'll find something that you would like.
Scotty suggests mostly old models because those really last a lot and will hardly give you little to no problem.
I'll say avoid Jaguar, BMW and Mercedes SUVs, they're cool but unfortunatly maintainance prices are high (with BMW and Mercedes), Lexus SUVs should be affordable i'll say always check models from 2010 till 2016 these should still be modern enough, and prices aren't too high.
Jeep try the one i mentioned, Grand Cherokee from 2008 to 2009 are affordable with not too high milege, Cherokee better be 2009 or 2010, even tho i'm not really sure about 2010 model.
Chevy Tahoe it's a classic in the US, if i'm not mistaken that should be affordable too, Captiva isn't also a bad idea at all.
Few Range Rover models are actually good and reliable but most likely even with older models the maintainance costs are high.
Anyway 2011 Freelander is still a solid SUV, but better go for something that wouldn't cost you a lot to maintain.
This are the one that i know are good enough so far, hope it helps!

I would recommend to avoid any used European luxury vehicles that are past their warranty which is right when the problems start. There's a reason why they depreciate so much. Maintenance and repair cost is high plus they break all the time. Get a Lexus or get a non-luxury brand SUV. These cars are for a certain market when new and if you cannot afford to buy/maintain them when they are new it is not recommend to get them when they are getting old.

Bmw especially deprecates in value quicker then most luxury Suvs. Most buyers are reluctant about Acura or Lincoln ,unless it has low mileage. Too many safety recalls . Some of them are very serious .One is related to faulty air bag or air bag component. Issues with Engine belts, transmission .Electrician issues that can simply cause fire. High maintenance costs. Most mom pop mechanics are reluctant putting their hands on luxury suvs. Volvo ,Acura and Lincoln especially .
Yes older Mercedes,Volvo , Acura modes were build like tanks no doubt about it.
In comparison Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Suzuki , Saab are lesser headaches .
Unfortunately things are changing. Toyota Fore runner 1985, 1999, 2001, 2003 , 2007, 2017 are far better then 2023 Plastic Trd . Older model Toyota sequoia are much better then 2022 ,2023 80 grand plastic behemoth .
