I think it should be allowed in practice but not in competition. BASS should take notes from Big Sportfishing tournaments like the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament where there is a separate division for boats running half million dollar sonar.
Have two series to fish this year. One as a co and one as a boater. Downloaded all the latest mapping to my phone and best believe while fishing as a co I will be glued to their screens marking every single hump, brush pile, stick, weed, piece of structure, and fish they catch!! 👍
Short clip with good info whether you have FFS, don’t have FFS or fish from the shore. So correct that some of the best fish are on the bottom and the Drop Shot, Free Rig, Jig and Texas Rig are all great tools. FFS has taught intelligent Fisherman so much about fish location, movement and behavior as well as defined structure so much better.
Last year I fish a Channel in the Florida Keys that had a deeper depression probably 40’x60’ long and 6’ deeper than the rest of the 3+ mile channel. With FFS, I could watch the 18”-28” “baitfish”, the sharks, tarpon and barracudas milling around in the hole.
Before FFS, I could only really study bass and baitfish in crystal clear, spring feed ponds.
So much knowledge is available.

If you are so good at bass fishing Ben then take all ur cheating technology off your boat and go Real bass fishing with only ur rod and reel , depth finder , and GPS Map and go compete with it only , u will not be catching those giant bass without it , you have mastered a cheat sheet and it’s called Live Scope , if you are so good you would go without it , ur good at cheating and cheating only , it’s legal cause BASS does not have the balls to turn down money this is the only reason you are even here at BASS , you have mastered cheating

Shame on you as you use these fish to make money and do not care about the damage you are doing. You are not a real fisherman or outdoorsman if you have to use FFS. See everything in life is not about making money. And no, if it was cheaper, not everyone would do it. To a lot of people fishing is special. They get fulfillment from being in nature, reading the environment, and putting the puzzle together to figure out the best way to catch bass. That is an angler with skill and worthy of being called a "Bassmaster". Anyone can plug in and let a screen tell them where the fish are. A- nee- one. A-nee-bum.

Good stuff thx I use the opposite than ffs. I use 50 year old great baits that they haven’t seen, that’s why there bitting your baits it’s different! It works ! 👍🥸🙏
