After watching all your content, I finally have my very first city ever, 65.000 citizens and really enjoyed making it look like a real city to begin with. But after watching these detailing videos, I realized I still have a lot of work to do. I think I might even need to redesign a big chunk of it and all that thanks to your guidance. A labor of love as it were! Cheers!
Incredibly cute build today, Egg! I love the spaced out tram-roadway spice, to allow for detailed tram stops...what a lovely idea! The zoo fencing looks so great there, love it! Also loved when you had the roadway trees and the pathway trees and it was too spicy...hahah! You were talking about slowing down as you build a city, and I think that is the biggest thing I've learned from you. Before finding you, I was focused on building huge cities with good traffic (rarely happened) and just zoned with abandon. Result was crappy looking cities with no personalities, no cute neighborhood vibes, just sprawl. So, thank you for teaching me how to slow down, build vibes, curate the best and cutest assets, and actually enjoy this wonderful game! Love love love!!!
What an amazing city this has become! I've recently bumped into this very same issue of not wanting to add yet more grid blocks with four lane roads. Thanks for the inspiration to create something more interesting 🙏
I found you after following Imperatur and you mention him on this video, excellent! I'm learning a lot from your series, please keep it up! Playing vanilla really requires some creativity and you guys really help the rest of us that don't have a choice (console players). Really good stuff, mate.
This may seem small to some but the way you faded the music in before you did the time lapse of you setting up the road around the 8 minute mark was soo smooth man you got me into cities and I don’t play as often I always watch and look forward to your videos
For anybody wanting traffic tips, as traffic can get extra spicy sometimes: Get after dark dlc, for the bike pathways. Generally, bike + foot traffic in a HUGE network combined with between 3-5 main public transpot options destroys anything
amazing video. I see an video inc "how to deal with the akward Node count Limit, and how to solve the issue" :D the amount of nodes you use, amazing :D
looking great! I actually have something similar to this but it is not possible to do on vanilla because everything is stuck together using road anarchy so there's not a square of distance between the one way roads and the tram line, also I use the LRT mods because when you place a station they make a neat little platform (and the tracks look way better than vanilla).
That looks fantastic. I always wonder when you make these great new areas, for a build like this, do you ever go back and "re-do" the initial, starting layout?
In my city, we have both isolated (your detailed version) and joint (essentially dedicated lanes) tram lines. Unfortunately, the latter often get abused by private vehicles in the rush hours. Fortunately, all recently built lines are isolated and fenced to prevent this crime against humanity. yay! :D
Those trees at the end of the ramps made me think of my last school trip and the annoyance my classmate got when he drunken crashed with his bicycle into a tree... How fast 25 Years can run by... 😂😂😂
Those wee roads connecting across the one ways and tram should be grass lined to stop the parking on them. Always parking in the most inappropriate places so they are 🤣🤣
8:20 I did a similar thing for my main street in CS2 with trolley cars, but not nearly as elegant as your one. Honestly it looks like someone dump a plate of spaghetti on my monitor. hahaha
After watching you place certain assets in ever so careful.. I was wondering if there isn't a simple, not pc heavy, asset selector? Cause I love the care you put into it, and I would also like to do it, but I know I will get tired after changing 3 buildings 100times just to get that one asset :P

So many vids out there by others with no commentary , yours is excellent, love your work man
Busy cycle highways are the best. (Although better on the ground.) There are just no more words for the great builds. Keep it going!
YaY! Nice way to start the week with another awesome episode of the Noobs Guide. Thanks OE! Yes Please! 😍👏
Enjoy, Beth! :)
You are the detailing master Egg. I've used a lot of what I have learned from your channel to detail my cities. Love the channel!
I like the fact ...
You seem to visualize...
The future ...
Or perhaps ... the
Important outcome!
Always like your builds...
& ❤️ this game!

Thank you bro!
You're so good at detailing tram areas, it's lovely to watch.

This road looks much more interesting now. Love a noobs start to the week!
Thank you, Jude! Glad you enjoyed it :)
This thumbnail is amazing! Now on to the video... :)
This has given me some great ideas for my city I’m just starting up!
Glad to hear, Ben!
It’d look stunning with a metro line too. But as always, 45 mins of pure inspiration and creativity 🙏🏽.
Thank you very much! For sure, defo more room needed for a metro version! We'll eventually have trains passing through here too :)
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG you’re the best! I can wait! Sigh 🙌🏽😁

You know it’s going to be a great episode when Egg goes for the extra cheerful version of his trademark "Hello people" greeting. 💛
As always : very inspirational ! Thank you :)
oh my, this...this is beauty, the city is growing like a bull frog in a swamp
I can't relate to that 😆 but thank you!
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG you're welcome

Time to try vanilla again. XD
ty for the VOD. 🥃🥃

I rarely upgrade the very start of the city tbh, maybe some new road connections but never a full rework of the opening interchange :)
You have some City of Boston, MA spice with the tram line (which we call streetcars) at the start of the video.👍
Just wonderful....👍
