I am struggling with the Maybelline skin tint. I’ve got large pores around the t zone and I feel like it just seeps right in no matter what I do. The L’Oréal skin tint is my go to! Any tips for the Maybelline one!? Primer? Which one? No primer? Help. ❤
Yeah, that's also why I could never stand Matte and Poreless either. Me/my huge pores + super runny foundation don't go well. Honestly I just avoid those formulas mostly but try stuff that tzone with a porefiller. Buff it in with a small dense brush if you have to. Fill 'em up and create a barrier. I can't get away with the "natural dewy" look anyway I always have to set my base so I often rely on powders *after* because I usually prioritise SPF over primers these days so that's when Nikkia's powder or Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush do the heavy lifting. Not found a drugstore one as good as those...if you're not 05 Fair like me which you can't get in Australia try either the loose or pressed Fit Me powders they're pretty pore blurring. NYX HD powder maybe something to try it's super light/barely there if you want to try keep that "clean girl" guff the kids like atm but it does blur a bit without the weight of a translucent powder. I use Nikkia's powder as an actual primer for heavy powder foundations that works great. Not sure how it'd go under something that runny but the "thin layer of powder before foundation" is an old trick.
See if Nikkia has videos reviewing the foundations on their own and what her prep is.
Also try different application methods. Sometimes a damp sponge just balls things up. Brush?
i pat it in with my fingers and/or mix it with other foundation products.
I use the ELF poreless primer putty first and a dusting of pore blurring powder on my tzone.
