+Matt Bussen Vocals I don't think its a problem with the the ground because if there was a issue with the radios ground it would show up in all your music from the radio to your media device selection. I would look into linking another device to the car via blue tooth to see if the problem is still there. If it is there may be a problem with the radio itself.

Behind the radio was the only ideal spot because of the wiring harness being right there. You could tap into the rear deck speakers but u would have to tie up the cables to the deck to keeps them clear of objects.

To be honest I never installed anything to replace the radio head in my Malibu at that time. I don't have that car anymore these videos are just for reference now.
@@wizetekie101 so turns out that it is an extra wire that doesn't need to be plugged in the new touch screen radio. Took me a whole day to figure out why the touchscreen would not turn on. The radio fuse was blown out. I changed it and everything is running now.

I'm sorry you are having issues with your touch screen, but the only why to fix the touch issue is to just replace the radio. If you still have a bumper to bumper extended warranty the radio should be free or install a after market radio. Sorry I was not able to help.

Stunnedstudios I have a stock 2015 and the bass is decent from factory. But it's not gonna compare to a sub system, especially if you don't have 6x9's in the rear deck.

You must use the one in the front because the one in the back is used for your eco mode when driving at a constant speed. Never use the back battery at least in the malibu or any other eco vehicle.

sorry should have mentioned, i have the loc2sl. It has 4 speaker wires, a black wire, a yellow wire, and a blue remote wire. I have the 4 speaker wires hooked up to white/blue-black, and green/green-black. I have black (ground) tapped into black from harness. yellow tapped into red from harness, and blue straight to rem on amp. had gains turned up. No sound from bass.

Can you just use a hi/low converter instead of going behind the radio.
What do you know about the Pioneer system in the '13 Malibu? Do you know if the rear 6x9's have a subsonic filter on them from the factory?

does your amp turn on with the car, could have a bad loc. Check you amps fuse.
