Im not that much of a sports watcher. That is my dad's department.
But anime like Haikyuu, Hajime no Ippo, Kuroko no Basket, Ace of Diamond, etc., all manage to tell us in their own way as to why people love to watch sports.
Character motivations, match pacing, effects on the fans, educating us on how a sport works when its relevant, and above all, the progression and inspiration athletes inspire in those that watch.
Its all there, and it all works.
So happy to hear someone else talk about green green greens
Yesss! It is so good!
Thx for putting me on to green green greens
Hope you enjoy!!
SOMEONE GETS IT
LOVE TO SEE IT!
Green Green Greens author also made Beast Children and published in WSJ, a story about high school rugby
It was good but looks like it didn’t fly so it got axed with only less than 30 chapters if i recall
Hope this one is a success because i really like his storytelling and art style
we used to pray for days like these
Kuroko no Basket is my jam!!! 🤩 I don’t like watching sports irl but sports anime is so much fun and makes sports exciting.
I would love for there to be an anime that focused on marching band. It truly is as difficult as a lot of sports. The thing is you can’t be battling your opponents at the same time. You have to beat them with 1 performance.
Too bad Green Green Greens got cancelled WSJ is brutal
the only sports i’ll watch 🫡
same 🫡🫡
