    Would this, or another headset be your #1 pick for work at home Zoom calls? Priority being good mic/sound quality for the other participants, and blocking baby crying/yelling noises?

    I am honestly really on the fence about this headset. I currently have a Poly headset that I actually like really well. The things that I like most about the Poly headset are that it uses DECT technology instead of Bluetooth, which means I can actually wander around my house if I need to and still participate in a conference call, and also that the unit supports the ability for me to use the headset with my desk phone and even my cell phone. The latter would require me to connect my cell phone to the base via Bluetooth, but that's fine. I would just leave the cell phone on my desk if I needed to get up and wander. The downside to the Poly unit is that the only way to use it is with its base station. That wasn't an issue until I started working in a hybrid situation, when I would really like to be able to throw my headset in my bag and take it with me when I need to go to the office. I have as of yet to find a headset that uses DECT, but has all of that in something more like a dongle that I can easily throw in a bag as opposed to this big clunky base. I really like the features of this headset, but I'm very apprehensive about Bluetooth, because in my experience, Bluetooth has really crappy sound quality when you start getting more than a few feet away.

      I'd go with a DECT headset from Jabra. My Jabra Engage 75 is not only one of the best sounding headset I've ever used but never had connection issues, volume on the mic lowering issues, or distance issues walking all around my house (1400sqft). DECT for security reasons is much better. If you have the money, I highly advocate for a Jabra DECT headset. Yes it doesn't connect to your smartphone unless you choose the option I think, but still. It's incredible. I wish Jabra would freaking pay me for mentioning them so much already lol

    I miss the foam covers. I’ve tried these types with this supposed soft pads but they are not that soft and gave me a headache after an hour of use.

    Also a side note, the 950 also works with the desktop charger that they sell for the Zone 2. Logitech tech support could not answer the question and told me to just buy one and return it if it did not work with the 950. The Zone 2 desktop charger works fine with the 950. I was able to snag one from B&H before they sold out. Logitech has been out of stock on them.

    You may include the Zone 950 in the title of your video because it seems the Zone Wireless 2 and the Zone 950 are the same. Zone Wireless 2 is for business customers, and Zone 950 for retail (sold at best buy, etc.) The only difference I have seen is the Zone Wireless 2 has a 2 year warranty and is $249, and the Zone 950 has 1 year warranty and is $299. The Zone Wireless 2 also comes in a Microsoft Teams Edition which from the manual allows the LED light on the dongle to flash purple if you have a teams notification, and it shows solid purple if teams is connected.

      Great suggestion! Did you end up getting one?

      @@TechOutAdam Yes, it arrived today, so far it seems pretty good. Once misconception I had was that Advanced Call Clarity would help with the mic, but it seems it is actually for filtering out noise from the other person on the call.

      How does it make sense something with more warranty (2y vs 1y) and certification from Microsoft Teams and for Unified Communication be cheaper by $50?!

    I’ve been trying to decide between Jabra 55 and Logitech wireless zone 2. I’ve owned nearly every headset you can imagine (I have 15 plus now but not the mentioned models). Right now my need is for return to office. I am prioritizing 1/comfort with glasses(5+ hours) 2/bluetooth/wireless connection 3/side tone 4/mic in a normal office environment. Taking cost out of the equation which one are you going for?

      Hands down the Evolve2 55 wireless headset. Perfect for every need you have especially since I wear glasses my self. Best sounding mic for sidetone and call quality. Yes, it has ANC but it's not as good as the Zonewireless 2 but the Logitech headsets are not as good at blocking out conversation.

    I was wondering if you could do a test where the sound in the background is a person talking loudly and clearly. In my workplace we have many people talking on different calls and we sit about 6ft from each other. I'm looking for a headset that can filter out other people talking in the background. My current Logitech headset (H390) picks them up and the people I am having the call with often ask if the other people around me can quite down and I have to make sure I mute when I'm not talking.

    Thanks for the review. So when is the dongle needed? If I have bluetooth on my computer do I need the dongle? Is the wireless charging pad good?

    • @TechOutAdam
      @TechOutAdam  10 місяців тому

      Great question! The dongle is needed when you connect to your computer for a stronger and more reliable connection. Especially, when it comes to smart enumeration for better dual connectivity.

    The Logitech Zone Wireless 2 starts at $249 and comes in 3 colors. Thanks for watching!
    Also, the mic test background noise was in the 90db range. Very loud to really test the mic. Cheers!

    Do we have to use LogiTune app to have the mic cancel noise?

    • @TechOutAdam
      @TechOutAdam  6 місяців тому

      No, the app is just to control the features, adjust sidetone, EQ. Everything else can be on the headset alone. Include ANC toggles and Awareness mode.
