please note that oil in water makes an emulsion, "suspension" is reserved for systems containing solid particles dispersed in liquid. I am not sure about mayonnaise in water, though. I assume that the droplet size could be also larger than the colloidal size range (ca 1-1000 nm), despite the fact that the emulsion is much better stabilized that the unstable, emulsifier-free O/W emulsion
Thank you for this video! My daughter has a test tomorrow on this topic, and we couldn’t figure out the difference between suspension and colloid. This really helped, so thank you!!
Woah! It's 2021 right now, and this is probably the best video on Solutions, Suspensions and Colloids. I had a lot of catching up to do on my Chemistry Unit, and this was really helpful! Thanks!
This is great explanation i have been finding some like this video explains about types of mixture with example video i can finally understand you earned my respect✊
Thanks for the definition of Solutions, Suspensions, and Colloids the video is small but has many thing to get which is an fantastic way of presentation... I liked it
Very helpful video..My exams were going on and When i read about it in my book so i didnt understand it..And when i saw your video I was easily be able to understand it..Thanks for your Video
I’m I the only one who is watching this because I have a science final exam tomorrow and has been studying for a week but feels like I will fail 😂 Wish me luck❤😊

It's 2021 now and this video was made 8 yrs before . I though of many more such videos being there in this channel so I subscribed but I then noticed that this is the lone video fro this channel and that too made 8 yrs brfore
Excuse me you had a mistake on this experiment in Suspensions the light couldn't maybe or many not b pass through it but for colloid, the light will pass through it
Hello, good day. I'm Chris, a public school teacher. May I use this video clip for a video presentation that will be uploaded online? Don't worry I will give proper credit on it. Thank you and God bless 😊
Is it important that the density of the solid particle should be more than the density of solute particle for to make homogenous solution.. If no then why oil do not mixing in water??
He made emulsion instead of suspension....the difference is suspension has solid solute particles suspended in liquid solvent and in case of emulsion one liquid is suspended or dispersed in other liquid solvent..... anyways video was good 😀🤘
One of the fastest and quickest way to teach about colloids and suspension! Thank you!
Its 2020 I'm watching this for my science exam today. Thanks.
Me too
Same XD
Me too 😌
Me too.
😂 same before 1 day of exam❤️
The lack of excitement is hilarious, and thanks for helping me remember my lessons ;D

best example of that is milk

This video is exact with my assignment. My teacher told me to do true solution, suspension and colloids and i make the same. Very co- incident.
Its 2023 right now and i have an exam tommorow Thankyou for the examples we love your videos! keep making More videos!!!
this is their only one:(((((((
Thank you for this video! My daughter has a test tomorrow on this topic, and we couldn’t figure out the difference between suspension and colloid. This really helped, so thank you!!

XD 2020 Covid19 online class we are talking about this In online class wohoooooo
Who is also doing this for their science homework tonight?
I am. Good for you for actually doing your homework.
Chris Garian We did the vocab last week. So yours is late!
I was out for 4 days!
And wahts worse i have to do all of them because i missed the discussion.
Chris Garian haha!
This really is useful ! who is watching this for an exam btw?
thank you because ur the only video that's actually helped me!
Thanku for explaining
DOUBT:
For colloids isn’t the particle size large enough TO scatter light allowing us to see the path of it through the colloidal solution?
for colloids are invisible by naked eye 👁️ but visible under électron microscope 🔬 example milk🥛
They are
"wow thats amazing shawn" this should make a meme
Thank you for this video really helped me with my test!!!!!!

yo ngl that's the first time this topic hasnt just flew through my mind i actually understood it woah
i love the simplicity and various information,
perfect for students who are trying to understand.
This is great explanation i have been finding some like this video explains about types of mixture with example video i can finally understand you earned my respect✊
This video is pretty PogChamp, I must say.
That is the way to teach theory + practical
Amazin bro ❤❤
I'm in 7th grade and tomorrow we have a science test! This video helped me a lot ...thank you Sean :]
Crisp explanation.. well-done 🎉
this video is fun i use to not like school and right know im year 7 and this video for science just made it way better
Thanks for the definition of Solutions, Suspensions, and Colloids the video is small but has many thing to get which is an fantastic way of presentation... I liked it
I thought a suspension had very small particles of a solid!?!?
Sophie Chuen and it settle at the bottom
Yea
whttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u have uploaded ONLY ONE VIDEO AND HAVING MORE THAN 2000 SUBSCRIBERS THATS AMAZING

this guys teaches better than my chem teacher not even trolling
That's helping me finish my home work thanks bro
Sir you have helped me a lot for my activity
Erroneous!!!! Your suspension was an emulsion.
if ur using a computer something will pop up saying sorry our example is wrong........ and yeah
Correct
Yea
Im confuse i almost die because of my homework thanks for informing
Yaa in suspension particle Size is larger so particles settle down

Please tell me I will be thankful to you
Its 2022......Day after tomorrow, i 'm having my science exam.....Very helpful.Thank You
but colloids are translucent .
And why isn,t tyndal effect observed ?
Colloids aren't translucent. The particles are so small that light isnt scattered by them.
Because they form emulsion instead of colloid
Colloids are opaque and suspensions are transclucent.
See..colloids particles r big enough to scatter light. ..
@@reshmichakraborti8487 suspension is opaque
A mixture of oil and water is called an emulsion (liquid + liquid), not a suspension (solid + liquid).
Good 💡 ideas 😃😃😃😃😃 tysm this videos help to my homework thxxx
*more like a satisfying Vedio*
Very useful , important information in short that summarize a whole lesson . Thank you
