- PZY was kind enough to send me a pre-production sample of their newest resin multimedia kit to review. This is the 2022 Ferrari Daytona SP3. PZY has outdone themselves with detail on this kit, watch along as I show off the major pieces of the kit and get started with the build.

James! Happy Birthday to you ! wish you all the best and good luck in your hobby and channel 🍾❤
SP3 is a cool Kit definitely
Thank You Oleg! I appreciate you 👍
Great you have gotten this kit. I have ordered one too, I am going to follow your build!
I think you’ll enjoy the kit, devise a plan of attack and don’t get flustered by the volume of parts. I appreciate your support 👍
WOW!! that ani't no Snap-tit kit
Haha, that’s for sure! I’ll do my best and throw a tutorial in there for you all.
Awesome kit James. Way out of my price range. Enjoy the build my friend.
I understand Morris, thanks for watching the video. I appreciate your support.
I agree about the $, what do you think was the price range of it?
@@robertmann7277 they are all in the $150-$170 range with $20 for shipping. Nice kits, but cost premium money.
I would guess about $180.00.
@@morriscustommodelshop8345 uhhh, I think I'll stick to Revell and AMT
Nice 😁
Thanks Daniel, I appreciate you watching and leaving me a comment.
@@ScaleModelExperiment your welcome 😁
Nice unboxing there James, thank you for your detailed video. Looks like PZY really upped their game on this one, that pre-bent photo-etch grille is amazing. Looking forward for the next update on this too.
Hey Karl, I agree it is next level for sure. I’ll keep posting updates as I go along. Thanks for your support bud👍
Nice unboxing and off to a good start. The instructions on my Alpha kit are the same way. Great idea on zooming then and reprintibg them thanks.
Have a great day!
I received a pre production version and he emailed me PDF files of the instructions. It just made sense to me to zoom them in. I’m old and can’t see like I used to 😂
Looking forward to the final! : )))
Me too! I’ve been doing carbon decals for a week now!
May I ask, "Compared with Alpha, do you receive more for your buck with PZY models? It just looks like more interesting and detailed parts. Regards Dave Porter London.
Yes, more detail in a PZY kit than Alpha. I haven’t seen their SP3 kit but the one I’m working on is really nice.👍
Incredible kit! Too much for me! But I’m sure you’ll create a masterpiece.
Hi Eddie, thanks so much for your support! With practice, these kits are getting easier.
Thanks for the video James. I like how PZY is adding things like the pre-formed grill, chrome parts, and 3d printed parts. I was a bit worried about packaging, but it looks like they did a good job there too.
Absolutely, they are stepping up their game with every kit. I thought that the Z4 I just finished was detailed, this one is a step higher. Thanks for watching, I appreciate the support 👍
What a crazy kit! I like the direction your going. Looking forward to watching it get assembled.👍
Thank you Fordman! I appreciate your support 👍
Hey S.M.E for resin primer mr hobby sells the RP 261 rsin primer its en exxellent product i have used it many times.
and you dont need to sand the model.
exellent car by the way.
That’s a good tip, I’ll have to find some. Is it airbrush ready or do I need to thin it?
Very cool kit. One of these days I would like to build the Ferrari 288 gto
The Fujimi enthusiast version is very nice.
White exterior with red interior!
Ohhh, that does sound nice too!
Well she's looking good
Thank you Travis! I know I can always count on you 👍
Great start to an amazing kit. Above my skill level. That PE grill looked amazing. I had a problem with primer sticking to a 43rd starter kit. Look forward to watching progress.
Thanks for watching big chef, I think that I’m ok primer and paint wise. I’ll do the carbon stuff and shoot clear over all of it.
@@ScaleModelExperiment I think so too. I think my problem was once I did body work I sanded up to 7000, and the resin was too smooth for the primer to grab onto.👍👍
You may be right. Too smooth.
Great review. Love the prebent pe grill. Not sure if the Alpha version has that? Look forward to the finished build. !!! Thanks for sharing
Thanks Mike, yes the grille is very very nice, I’ve only begun this journey 👍
Mike - Looks like Alpha's plan is to give you a flat piece of etch and a two part resin molding buck which you'll use to bend it to the proper shape. They used that method on some of the Aston Martin kits they've done.
$169 wow!
Wait till it’s done, you’ll see…
@@ScaleModelExperiment looking forward to it. I am sure it is on a whole other level.
@@johnmajane3731 thanks John for your support. I appreciate you 👍
Awesome kit. I just got mine delivered.
What do you think of it? It wasn’t until I sorted the parts into body/interior/engine and looked over the instructions a few times before I figured it all out.
@@ScaleModelExperiment looks impressive. I am very inteminated by it. Going to watch u first. :).
@@grega4450 I felt the same way at first. If you do the body first, there are some “wings” in the front and some eyelids for the lights to paint body color.
@@ScaleModelExperiment I can’t believe all the decals and etching and the windows are cool.
@grega4450 I’m doing the carbon now. Have fun!
