- How to get UA-cam TV on your Roku. The fight between Roku and Google has frustrated lots of users who have been unable to add UA-cam TV to Roku devices. The good news is that UA-cam/Google has come up with a workaround using UA-cam's existing app.

This guy saved my life!! Switched to UA-cam tv from Xfinity, but didn’t have UA-cam tv on my Roku tv which is the tv in my man cave…for FB season. It is so serious that I started to buy a new tv or blu ray player just to get the UA-cam tv app. I was going crazy!…then I saw this video and set up YTTV on my Roku tv. And now I’ll be able to watch sports in my office/man cave again. God bless this man!
Appreciate the super-clear instructions plus informative comments on the Roku-UA-cam TV dispute. Workaround was perfect! Just wish UA-cam would list its streaming TV option at the top of the menu so I don't have to scroll all the way down every time.

Getting ready to setup a Roku / UA-cam TV combo next weekend for my elderly mother. Trying to keep it simple for her. What's the latest? Will she have to sign in with a code EVERY TIME or just one initial time?
Once I signed that I didn’t have to do it repeatedly. But the way Google and UA-cam are getting along right now I don’t know if UA-cam TV would be the easiest thing for her. UA-cam TV has a similar cost and is not currently feuding with Roku. I actually set up Hulu for my own grandmother recently because I was afraid that using the UA-cam app would get confusing.

I have UA-cam tv app on my phone but when I sign in it goes to my phone instead of tv.
I had deleted my app not knowing they had a dispute. And was going to reinstall but I found out after I couldn't reinstall.
Will it still work from UA-cam if I deleted app

My problem is I can't access UA-cam and here you are at 1:03 ACCESSING UA-cam. When I do that it goes back to 'Can't run Channel' with the purple 'check network' below.

Even though we can still gain access to UA-cam TV with the Roku Ultra - however can we still record programs from UA-cam TV while using Roku Ultra ?
Yes, I've been doing it this way for months.
I don't like the extra step, going to UA-cam first then down to UA-cam TV, but it works perfectly.

It’s the other way around for me. The UA-cam tv app is there but UA-cam app is not. My UA-cam app on my phone says it’s not installed on my tv.

I was a member on my brothers family account. He removed me from his account & I set up my own account, & paid with visa. When I try to access UA-cam live on my tv a note appears sorry you can’t watch until you return to the Tallahassee area. Can you update my home area? I would appreciate your help.
You need to delete the channel completely and make sure you have the settings in place on your own account to reflect where it is that you live. You probably tried to authenticate it to the wrong account by mistake or bc your device was already signed in to the old one.
As of 13 Nov, I can't find the UA-cam Tv link on the UA-cam app. Guess they found out about it and got rid of it.
Roku just has ruined it because it was able to have it as an app like every other app on there.
It will probably get worked out. But I think Uoutube was going to do this on all their platforms eventually. Its a power move.

Roku 3, you mean like the 10 year old device? That generation does not get updated anymore. So it had UA-cam and may still have an app, but it is hopelessly out of date by now.

I now can't get the UA-cam app to work either. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and now it's showing the same "Can't run Channel" message that comes up with UA-camTV.

Thanks Larry I agree. This thing with UA-cam is crazy. But I also think it's a possibility that UA-cam is going to get rid of UA-cam TV on all of their platforms and just have people sign it through UA-cam.

So annoying. I usually like to stream live political stuff or live events from UA-cam because cable/roku badic channels chop it all up into segments.

? Are you talking about the youtube app or the youtube live TV service? This video was concerning the UA-cam pay TV service that's like a cable service or something not just the free app that you can watch it everywhere anytime. What it's saying is that if you want the UA-cam television app that cost over $50 a month then you can do it by signing in through the free UA-cam app.

Well these days you can just add UA-cam TV via the Channels Store. That was a workaround for a pretty specific problem. As for Hotspots, I can't really help you there since there are a lot more factors that I can't see without being there myself.
Once you get to the final page of the sign in nothing happens smh. It tells you to "complete the final steps on your mobile device or computer to start watching" but google asks for no more steps and says hook up is complete - ___-

Its not a better way to do it. Yes, it works, but every single time you want to go into....or go back into UA-cam Tv, you have to go to a Web site on your phone and out in a stupid pass code. EVERY TIME!! I dont mind doing this the first time I sign into a new device. BUT NOT EVERY SINGLE TIME! This is stupid and too repetitive. I'm in a trial period right now, but if it doesnt work different, easier and more streamline on one of my fire sticks or chromecasts, I'm canceling it.

Agreed with other poster. The title of this video is misleading. You didn't add the youtube tv app to your Roku. You simply accessed youtube tv via the regular youtube app. In my case I have both the youtube app and youtube tv app on my Roku 4. But thats because I had added youtube tv app to my Roku quite some time ago.
