- Vietnam continues to surprise us! Hanoi, Saigon, Ha Long Bay and Hoi An get all the attention, but Da Nang is equally impressive. It’s like the Miami of Vietnam (sort of, kind of, not really)!
🎒OUR FAVORITE TRAVEL GEAR:
• How To Pack In ONLY a ...
On March 7, 2020, we spent the full day experiencing the best things to do in Da Nang, Vietnam. So, if you want to create the perfect 1-day itinerary in Da Nang, then this is the perfect place to start planning your trip.
We began our perfect day in Da Nang with a coconut coffee at Cong Caphe right on the beachfront. Coconut coffee is a refreshing dessert in a glass - but caffeinated! After trying them in Hanoi, Ashley grew very fond of these creamy concoctions and Cong Caphe is a unique place to try one.
Moving on, we took a Grab to Tượng Phật Bà Quan m, a buddhist temple and pagoda complex that is home to the tallest buddha statue in the country! Lady Buddha is beautiful and imposing over these peaceful temple grounds.
Next was lunchtime and if you are vegetarian, you have to try ROM (Revolution of Mushroom).
After lunch we met up with our friend, Will, and headed out to climb the Water Mountain at the Marble Mountains. This was quite the adventure! We climbed through caves and enjoyed more gorgeous temples and pagodas. This is a must-do in Da Nang!
After some beach time, we headed across the Dragon Bridge to explore the night market. We tried lots of delicious Vietnamese street food, including Bánh xèo and “Dragon’s Breath” for dessert.
We rounded out this massive day with the weekend show at the Dragon Bridge - watch until the end to see some FIRE content!
We hope you enjoy our Vietnam travel vlog and, as always, we’ll see you in our next video as we Keep Going Places!

You guys said Vietnam doesn't have vegetarian options and that upset me! Vietnam is one of the most vegetarian friendly places in Asia! Just look for CHAY written without any accents or G'om CHAY which means rice buffet. You'll also get to taste local dishes that vary by region. At the Chay places you can try all the different kinds of noodle soups, Vietnamese pancakes etc and it's all like under 30000 vnd per meal. We found like at least 10 different local veg restaurants in Danang. Hanoi was the most tricky as far as vegetarian goes but everywhere else including Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Da Lat, Saigon etc had so many options that we didn't get to try it all.
When they figure it out i think they will be very happy with ALL the options available for vegans. “Chay” is the right key word!
You’re absolutely right! You can have almost every single Vietnamese dishes vegetarian style. Because Vietnamese are mostly Buddhists so vegetarian dishes is an essential in the country.
Yeah that’s right. Cuz Da Nang has a number of vegetarian options. CHAY is a right word for u guys when u look for veg restaurants. Hope u guys have a nice trip in Da Nang which is my hometown ☺️☺️
Another option for vegeterians is just go to any restaurant and stated you are looking for vegie only. Almost any restaurant have their own CHAY dishes.
Vietnamese CHAY foods are much more delicious than normal meals hiuhiu I love đồ chay
Golden experience for you when traveling in Vietnam: ask for prices before buying anything.
Diamond experience: you can ask anyone when you need help, even though they can't speak English.
nod. yes . nod .yes. nod. yes. what was that about? no one knows
Great video! Danang often gets overlooked because of Hoi An, but definitely worth visiting both. I think Vietnam is my favourite country in South East Asia. Just love the place.
fun fact: since the statue was completed, the city is no longer be attacked by storms or just have a few damage from those are strong. my mom believes that the statue has been protecting us
Every city of vietnam is a hidden gem. Happy traveling!
Thank you! ☺️
You guys are awesome! Very easy-going, adapted, appreciate Vietnam‘s culture and you guys aren’t not fussy about anything.
Thanks so much! We really try to go with the flow and enjoy wherever we are ☺️
I live in Da Nang city, beautiful city and friendly
We totally agree! ☺️
For me Danang is the best city of Vietnam. Beaches, mountain, people, food, tourist, the main medical and educational center of central Vietnam
This is old video no mask
Glad to see your video about my country during the pandemic. I am happy to welcome you guys and international traveller to Vietnam soon
I’m watching in jealousy in Tokyo now. Crying. Been in Da Nang once, love the beach, pagodas, the Ba Na Hill, the foods omg and wish can come back soon.
Oh no! 🥲 Hopefully we will all be back traveling again soon!
Vietnam is an amazing country to explore and Da Nang is my favourite location there, friendly people, great beaches and lots of great places to stay and things to do.
I really enjoyed watching this video, it seems like you guys have had a wonderful trip to Da Nang and successfully encouraged me to come over there. this video is one of the best I've seen so far.
Coconut iced coffees , the absolute best!! I want one right now! So fun that y’all got to travel with a friend!
Gah they are SO GOOD. Maybe one of these days we can travel with *two* new friends! 😜
@@KeepGoingPlaces Yes, can’t wait for that! 🤗
ca phe sua da . milk coffee is amazing. i lived there for all of 2014 and never tried a coconut coffee, it sounds good where did you find that ?
Also, if you ever stop by Saigon, I recommend @Phúc Mập Vlog. He's an American UA-camr who's living in Vietnam for more than 6 years. So I would say he's actually pretty knowledgeable about the food and travel destinations.
As a DaNang citizen, I'm very proud about this vid. Thanks, keep your vid great
As a local person in Da Nang, I'm so excited when I watched your video about local food, people, well-known tourist acttractions,....
I'm so proud of my home city through in your eyes.
And I hope you had a wonderful time in Da Nang city. A worth-living city in Viet Nam ❤️
Y’all are awesome! Loving the editing style and your adventures seem like a ton of fun ☺️
Thanks, guys! We so appreciate that ☺️
As soon as we are able to travel again I'm going to Da Nang! Great video, full of interesting insights!

Well done! You managed to capture some very good footage of Da Nang, I like it too! Enjoy the vibrant energy that is Sai Gon next!!
Really been enjoying your videos ❤️
I was in Thailand last March when I have to return back to London due to COVID. But your videos are getting me excited to get back out there and have all these delicious street food once all this is over!
Thank you so much! We’re feeling the same, very anxious to get back in the road. Hopefully that can be soon for everyone. ☺️
lol bad move..should have stayed...back to retarded UK lol
such a great packed in video guys, keep on going, your doing a great job with capturing the beauty of the places you visit, really enjoy the food reviews of different countries, hugs xc
Thank you, Melody! That’s so sweet of you to say. We will certainly keep creating as much as we can! ☺️
It's not actually underrated! It is a super famous attraction. I'm from Hai Phong and I love Da Nang as well. It has the most beautiful beach I've ever been to.
Definitely underrated. But not in the digital nomad scene. Looks like you're Vietnamese so you see from different lens. 😁
Our Da Nang City has road name Hai Phong and yours has street named Da Nang as well I think so 😃
Underated by international travelers, man.
Perspective matters, dude. It's "underrated" from the international perspective,
It just means 'Đà Nẵng ís actually better than what people rate it as' it's a good thing that they're saying..
i can't believe it, your guys here in Vietnam!! Welcome to our country, we're very happy to see you visit to our city!! i hope all of you would have fun and lots of memory when you're visiting here!! Enjoy
333? troi oi !!!! i still feel that day.
mot hai ba......YOooooo.
its been since 2014 since i lived (tan binh) in Saigon. i ended up meeting my wife there. she was back in 2019 and said its got crowded. even in Da Lat.
we are waiting for the covid stuff to blow over so we can come back for a family visit again. if i could make good money to put my kids into a good school we would live there.
i lvoe the USA, but the beach, people, couture hooked me. to eat real bun rieu fresh, or Dal Lat nem nuong. or the yogurt. the Vietnamese dalat yogurt i miss so much.
Cool times in Vietnam ! Can't wait to see you both on the road this summer.
Wow great Vietnam... great video...👍👍💖💖💖💖💖
didn''t know you were dating Taylor Swift, trying to keep it Loki?
Great video guys 👏🏼
I’m certainly putting Da Nang on my list,it looks a great mix of things to do 😎🙏🏼
Thanks so much Dave! Da Nang is a great time, something for everyone. ☺️
Glad you enjoyed my home country... love your guys’ positive attitude
Thank you! ☺️
Thanks Ashley and Jordan for loving and recommending Danang my home town to everybody. Hopefully after watching your video and other You Tuber’s videos about Danang . There would have a lot of tourists will choose Danang for their vacations and that would give Danang a chance to develop its potential . Wish you guys have great time in Danang city .
Vietnam and Vietnamese foods would be more appealing to tourists if the people stopped littering indiscriminately and practiced food safety and sanitation. Even a Vietnamese like myself grossed out by the unsanitary and the garbage around the food stall area.
@@thanhhanguyen6551 no , its the Culture , you have to except it or not. i take it you are from the USA and feel that your way is the only way to live. although i am my self from the USA, i throw my food under the table, eat was is set in front of me. and most of all i do not presume to tell another Culture how to live, or what they should eat.
im white as rice and ate fine. then again i lived there knowing i would need to embrace the culture i was living in and not try and change it to fit me.
to be honest you don't want the USA coming there to vacation. you will get more people like Ha Nguyen who only want to telling you how to live instead of seeing how nice the Vietnamese culture is.
DaNang is wonderful, Nha Trang and DaLat also. i loved all 3 and lived in Tan Binh district in Saigon all of 2014. soon as the covid stuff blows over to where travel is easy we will come back for a few months to visit family

I love is video!!! It had everything
I love Danang! I'm hoping to get back there this November (fingers crossed) and can't wait. In the meantime I'm travelling around Canada and making videos of some of the beautiful cities here. Danang is like the Miami of Vietnam for sure.
Ohhh fun! We can’t wait to make it to Canada one of these days. Thanks for watching. ☺️
Miami of VN- that’s exactly how I described it after visiting there!
@@aarons5689 It is beautiful there!
:)) If you want to come to Vietnam, there are things you should be ready to prepare:
-1 Prepare for mandatory quarantine and undergo several Covid 19 tests over 14 days. That is to make sure you are not infected without symptoms. And also to protect more than 100 million people living in the country (including citizens of all countries from all over the World).
-2 If you have a certificate of vaccination against Covid-19, confirmed by the Embassy, you may be exempt from quarantine.
-3 You should prepare a backup plan for your finances when there is an emergency and you cannot leave Vietnam.
-4 Have some language translation apps ready to go in Vietnamese. When you are in a deadlock situation, do not hesitate to use a translation program to ask for help from a Vietnamese. Let them know your situation, they will help you without paying anything, just thank you.
@@hoangthienvuphiphi6057 I won't be travelling outside of Canada until I have the vaccine. It looks like my turn will be in about one month to get my first dose of the vaccine. I agree with the rest of what you have pointed out. Thank you.
finally youtube suggested a new channel we actually wanna watch! 🤣 really enjoyed your adventures - that coconut coffee looks amazing! it’s so nice to see fellow vegetarians finding their way in travel. we do occasionally have meat (more Stephen than me), but it’s great to see there are yummy meatless options!
Another commenter said it's easy to find vegetarian options in Vietnam because of the many Buddhists there. You just have to find places that have Chay in their menu or name.
Nah hang do chay (my keyboard doesn't have the right letter options for their way of writing 'do'), is a vegetarian restaurant.
what a beautiful place.thank you for sharing the beauty.
haha. The end was made my night xD. Anyway! Great video.! Thanks you all for visit my country!

The best happiness country in the asia 2021. The best of city to live in Vietnam . Thank
Really great video - especially enjoyed the Lady Buddha and the stuff around there as well as the caves and the adventurous climb to the top. :)
Thank you! Da Nang really surprised us - wonderful place!
Great video! Loved the music selection. Loved getting to see DaNang through your eyes. I love that city. My wife and I fell in love there and I got emotional when you got to Lady Buddha. They say it is bad luck to go on a date at the Lady Buddha, which I didn’t know, but we made it. Maybe it’s good luck? Haha. Can’t wait to see the next area you move on to in beautiful Vietnam:) well done you two:))
She is Guan Yin, not Lady Buddha.
@@pirotess2 good to know. Everyone kept calling her Lady Buddha, but I would rather know the specific name.
@@pirotess2 same thing dude. Guan yin is a lady and is a buddha
@@shadowblitzo123 Guan Yin is a Bodhisattva, not a Buddha. Buddha is the highest title among the beings in Buddhist, and Guan Yin is not part of Buddha yet. Also Guan Yin in East Asia usually portrait as female but the n other places as male.
Interesting trips with you for spend to Da Nang City with many activities..
Wow...amazing video

Awesomeeeeee
Cong Ca Phe...I was there 2 years ago...love the coffee there...thanks for showing!
Such a fun spot! Thanks for watching!
Great video great view. City. Weather hot Water. Beer. Food street. Walking street. Night
Great place , next to Thailand where I live now . Danang would be my next choice .
The statues you are calling Lady Buddha are actually of Quan The Am Bo Tat (Quan Ying in China). She achieved enlightenment the same as Buddha but elected not to enter Nirvana but instead remained within our realm to spread compassion amongst us. She is often called simply Quan Am (sounds a bit like Won Arm).
Welcome all of you, come to Vietnam 🇻🇳
Sure. Danang is a beautiful, dynamic and worth living city. I'm living in Danang. Greate video! 💖💖💖
Enjoy your enjoy Coffee and your trip in Da nang more video please

You will never regret ,i swear , Đà Nẵng is the most city to live in Việt Nam .
wow! love
Thanks!
thank you for the video :)
I love the beaches in VN. The water just like seating in the bathtub. Nice and warm....!
Welcome to Vietnam, folks. One like.
Thank you!
hello guys, nice video, my young brother is living in Da Nang, Da Nang is an amazing place. personally i want Da Nang to becomes the capital of Vietnam but not many people will agree with this idea. i 've visited this city a few times, there are mountains, a river and a beach . The big statue of the Quan Am ( Guanyin/Bodhisattva/ lady Buddha? lol iam not sure about the english word), yes that giant statue really impress me. I love to be with a motorbike from the beach to the peninsula where the Linh Ung pagoda and the statue located , pretty great feeling you can get when you are on road. From Da Nang you can travel easily to Hoi An, Hue and Quang Binh those are tourism place as well . The rent is quite cheap , and the food , very cheap in comparison to other big cities and they are super delicious , i havent tried everything there , i wish i could, I think the cuisine in central part of Vietnam has the best taste but mostly foreigners only know about the meals from the North and the South
so beautiful there stay safe and happy travels
you guys are awesome
From Hà Nội with love.
Great video. Being born and raised in VN and now in the USA, I am so jealous of you guys right now :-)
Thanks so much! ☺️
Welcome to my country. Let's enjoy it.
