  • Shimano released the new Shimano Cues groupsets: So far there are four known groupsets: 1.) U8000 2.) U6000 3.) U4000 and 4.) U3000
According to Bike radar, the new Shimano Cues will take designs from previous Deore XT and SLX.
This also marks the death of Shimano Alivio, Altus, and Acera. And likely the death of Shimano Sora, Claris, and Tiagra to also likely be phased out. Should we embrace change? This video will discuss the reason behind change. And what is also the future of Shimano Tourney?

The three most revolutionary development's with CUES is the common 1:1 pull ratio across all CUES components including road bike components which allows nearly unlimited mixing and matching of components.
The two new types of sealed bearing hubs with the ability to change between thru axles and normal skewers by changing bushes.
And ability to use a linkglide rear cassette with compatible components.
CUES gets a thumbs up from me it makes perfect sense.
    😎👍

They ran out of cheap bikes like hybrids during pandemic. Shimano simplified production and choice so they’ll always be able to make cheap bikes fast. That’s just my opinion. Hopefully, drop bar versions are better than these cues. 11 speed mechanical better be as good as ultegra 8000 for drop bar. Di2 is ridiculously priced.
