I've caught many Sturgeon in the California Delta. 180 lb. biggest. The best tasting Fish on earth. They are part of shark family. But no teeth. Bottom feeders. no bones either. Cali. law says u must release unless between 42' and 70''. long. That fish would not be good to eat because of age. River Pollution. Mercury, other heavy metals etc. That fish would have kicked my ass. Great video. Good job man. One was caught in the San Francisco Bay back in the 1940's 1500 plus pounds. they had to use a tractor to pull it ashore. Google largest sturgeon ever caught. The divers building the Martinez / Benicia bridge thought they were sharks and freaked out when working on then. lol.

Let me say this, IF you actually released that beluga fish and not caught it back out of the camera, thank you for releasing it. Not many people understand the importance of keeping the wildlife safe, becoming there are only 10,000 of them left. Idk if you knew but that fish was at least 50 years old, and if you would have kept it and eaten it, it would be a horrific loss for the earth. Thank you for understanding the fact that they are endangered and there are real few of them left. I get really hurt when I see those kind of fish getting killed so thank you, for not getting me hurt
