- I did a ktm 300 exc review and it's my personal experience of owning one. This 2021 300 exc / xc-w review is based on owning this bike for the last few months after switching from a 250 to a 300. I take it on an enduro ride to test it out for you. How good is it? Let's find out...

Good tip to know u can do it. the thought of even paying attention to it to see if it’s possible means it’s possible I noticed u tend to just drive past because you’re mind knows it’s not but climbs ext that grab you’re attention and consider doing it basically means you can do it

I’m picking up a 2024 300 xc-w. I’m coming off a ktm 500. I’ve ridden that thing in everything. I’ve never driven a modern day 300. I can’t wait to learn the bike.

@@timbrandt7211 I don’t want to come off like a dick, but you must not understand the engineering of the modern Day two stroke. The thing is the literal definition of a lugging machine. You can get the bike down to about a few miles an hour rolling through anything and it will just keep pulling through it. This might be unique to the 2024 TBI model, but I don’t think so. Now in comparison I have a 2018 500. I opened up the airbox and put in an Athena get unit on it with a Slaven’s map. The 500 is an absolute beast of a lugging machine too. But the 300 can lug at half the speed or less than the 500 can. In a way the 300 is the ultimate beginners bike. It’s extremely easy to ride. Especially the 2024 TBI it has an extremely gentle bottom end. Some say it lacks balls, but it’s just made to go through thick stuff. You don’t need horsepower balls to make it through hard-core enduro. You just need a nimble bike that can flick you through stuff. That’s exactly what the 300 does. I would not worry about your skill level on the 300. If anything it’s easier to ride all around than the 500. Do I miss the 500? It’s still in my front yard so no. I do want to bring it out for a Woods ride soon, though. Just to get back on it.

The 250 seems more fun. I’m leaning that direction and getting the ec upgrade. I wish I could try both. I’d rather wind out than be on a tractor.

I jumped from a suzuki drz125 4 stroke to a yz250 after a year of riding and the power difference is unbelievable lmao took me a few rides to get my body positioning right and now I feel so much more comfortable

Couldnt agree more, I have a 2019 carby 300 XC and man what a bike, a couple of mods, JD jetting (sorts the mikuni out), vforce reeds and the red spring and what a cool bike. Good call

Hi from the US! I found this channel while I was just scrolling through videos of people riding dirt bikes. I am really enjoying your videos, after the first video I watched, I just couldn't stop waiting for a new video. Keep it up! I ride a 2006 Honda CRF 250X (4 stroke) and have been loving it. I also have a question, what kind of maintenance do you perform on your 300? I would love to try owning a 2 stroke but have been put down due to the amount of maintenance that (I think) is involved (mostly the short top end rebuild interval).
Hardly any maintenance on these new TPI 2 strokes. New piston every 120 hours and oil change every 40 hours. Easier to maintain and lasts longer than a 4 stroke
i havent done very much enduro with the 300, but i have converted it to a supermoto/stuntbike and its the best bike ive had, (300 2020 sixdays)

Well ehm.. i jumped from 50cc moped to the 300cc annyone got some ideas of how i can get more comfortable with the bike?
Ride it.ride it a lot we all want to go farst ? but if you slow down you be come a better rider work on clutch control balance throttle management (Not to much) till you become more comfortable with the bikes power work with your bike don't fight it unexpected things will happen but stick with it you will be Jarvis in no time👍

I've had a few 2 strokes in my day and want another how do you like your 300 for trails does it seem like you have to get on it another so you don't plug it up or can you just put around if you want haha hope you see this!
You can doddle around quite easy on these new TPI bikes. They're not like a carb 2 stroke. It's hard to foul a plug

So if you where moving up from spending a couple years on a 125, would you recommend the 250 or go straight onto the 300, if it was a bike you where going to keep for a very long time and progress with ?
300 is the best bike out there for enduro. Just depends what riding you want to do
@@MidWestMX yes mainly enduro, that’s what I’ve been using my 125 for with the occasional mx race here and there nothing major, I usually just trying to focus on doing enduro mainly, thanks for the reply, love watching all you guys, thanks to your channel you got me back in the seat after many many years out, rode safe buddy 🏁🏁

Well I will have to wait to join the TPI squad:( Instead of getting the XC W 300, I got lured in to getting a Multistrada Enduro Pro. Next bike will be the XC W 300 for sure but, it will be about a year or so. Till then i will have to suffer through with the WR 450 F..lol
