  • This wildlife video is a tribute to the Black Backed Jackal. Jackals are one of the most amazing animals and are often overlooked for their more showy neighbors. Jackals have a rich history in lore, story, and Egyptian mythology as Anubis, the God of Embalming. Jackals fill a nearly identical role in their eco system as the Coyote of the new world. Their size, color, dimensions and even their skeletons are nearly identical, but they are not closely related, and simply have both been subject to convergent evolution.

Beautiful relative of the coyote I saw this morning and communicated with. First time I didn't just see one at a distance over 100 yards looking out a window. I was within 30 yards; I was out on my street and it was on the golf course that boarders our dead end lane. I got a positive friendly response from verbal communication at the animal. Cool!!

I’m obsessed with ancient Egypt, having many books about it and using their mythology as inspiration in a lot of writing. It also got me into birds of prey and taking the steps towards falconry, and love that I have found your channel as you seem to share those passions

Good to see mid sized predators getting love. You should do coyotes as well. Maybe a comparison video?

Sir, please make a video on this topic ....
I am having a female bonellis eagle (age 2 years). It works with me and hunts throughout the year except February to April or May (she becomes hormonal) . Yes, I know that during this time of the year she is hormonal and moulting and I also know that during this time of the year birds should be allowed to moult. But if I want her to work and hunt with me then how will I do that? During this hormonal season she absolutely lags motivation to hunt. Even I tried to motivate her by reducing her weight to significant amount from her actual flying weight and also tried by increasing the weight. But I failed.
So sir please help us by making a video on how to control this hormonal behaviour and how to keep raptors motivated to hunt during this period of the year .
