Because it gets to a point where you're stable in both situations. Stable at home cause that's your home so you don't want to leave, stable at work cause the work spouse makes you happy. It's a literal unable to choose situation. The longer you keep sex out of it the better you are. Once sex comes into play with the work spouse it ALL falls apart. Problem is the happiness is going to lead to sex especially if y'all start getting touchy (anything more than handshakes)

But in general i think we have opposing desires in our mind. We want the freedom and the spontaneity of having new experiences with new people, but we also want love and security, and when we don’t have one or the other we long for it even more. But those are two conflicting desires. You can’t do what you want and have fun with no strings attached AND have a life partner that will love you and always be there for you and build a life with you. That’s why it seems like people aren’t happy whether they are in a long term relationship or single. They are being deprived of one of these things and the two can’t coincide because of the possessive nature of monogamous relationships. That’s what i think.

I've worked in manufacturing for over 45 years, and I can tell you, I've seen it all. Sex on the job, married people cheating, co-workers marrying their co-workers spouse, fights, sleazy supervisors, etc. I'll admit, I've had several encounters at work with female co-workers myself over the years. One place I worked at in the 80's was like a brothel, everyone there was getting busy with someone, it was crazy! A lot of these environment's are like a big dating pool, people want to see who they can hook up with, and how fast, trust me, it doesn't take much, or long!
