It actually makes little difference, the inside of the fitting is deep enough to be soldered and all here is left is a thread on the outside and a flange that mostly gets filled with solder. Alway use end feed if you can though. Customer bought the wrong ones and I had to do the job on Sunday morning so I was not chasing for end feed adaptors. They got soldered

Are they compression fittings ? But your soldering them ....if so didnt realise you could do that ......👍
