Installing a two port shower valve on a busy building site
Installing a two port shower valve on a busy building site is a hectic task. I’m not used to working with so many tradesmen in one place so this is a new one for me. Trying to explain to people why I do what I do is a bit hard because no matter how I do something there will always be someone that does it another way and is not happy how I do things. My advice is do what you do and let others do their thing too. #diy #srv #plumbing #asmrvideo #plumber

ROTHENBERGER super fire PRO has a few issues
Переглядів 5362 години тому
The Rothenberger super fire pro is a great torch with the ability to swap tips but it’s not all good there are a few things that need looking at. Now I’m not sure if the issues are just my torch or a general issue across the whole production but only time will tell. #srv #plumbing #howto #diy #plumber #srvsocial #plumbingsupplies #rothenberger #review #honestreview

A day in my life as a multi skilled PLUMBER
Переглядів 3177 годин тому
Just another day as a plumber but this time it’s unedited uncut and less glamorous just to show you the raw state of jobs we got to do as plumbers. You can choose to do maintenance or work second fixing but I love getting stuck in and figuring stuff out. This job is as raw as they come so hope you get a taste of what I got to deal with. #srv #plumbing #plumber #srvsocial #asmrvideo #diy

Tired overworked but let’s just get this plumbing done. This first fix was done months ago and the job got delayed meaning I now got two jobs finishing at the same time and I have to sacrifice my Saturdays and Sundays to get these jobs done. #srv #plumbing #asmrvideo

What’s the blue glue? I’ve done a lot of plumbing (pools) but never copper. I’m curious what it’s called? (Thanks in advance)
That rapid blue stuff. It’s good
I'm a kitchen fitter and I really hope the fitter for this job appreciates you leaving pipes so nice and neat and below plinth height - really clean work mate
Thank you
There IS a reason it is called MAKITA! 😊
😁
You never made a honest mistake, charge for your time and move on with your life
And twist as you push them on.
Amazing, and really value your opinion. Thank you.
Don't be fuming get someone else to do it, either way it's more money for you or the next guy, simple!
I've had something similar, on a smaller scale, 3 times on the same job. I just charge the customer and just literally see my time as money, and as long as the ratio is right I don't let it bother me. I just subscribed to your channel BTW.
In the words of Ice-T, "Don't close it, always keep an open mind. A man who fails to listen is blind!"
Charge but still fkn annoying undoing work you had to spend time thinking about
Charge them not youre fault more money in youre pocket 😂
Depends how much needs changing.
Wonderfully entertaining video!
Glad you enjoyed it! 💪
Compression or not the fitting size is the same, the difference is that threads are added to accommodate the option of ring compression. If u have the years of experience like he does you would understand / take different ruts and never leave the job with a doubt if done safe 👍🏻
And this comment came from the best of the best in the game. Thank you buddy🙏💪
Charge the customer no problem at all its the customers mistake.
Are you South African
Portuguese but lived most my life in Namibia
Just subscribed as this wise man speaks truths 🤜🏻🏴
Thank you 🙏💪
Charge them for the time to rip the shower valve out and replacing for the new 1 due to the customers error if it was your fault what would the customer do? Exactly flip it on them if they want it changing then say what would you do then they will see it your way and not even question you.🤬😡🤬 that would be me.
Charge again for labour and materials and push your next job back a day or 2
Its not allways about the money ive been in this position worked nights and weekends to get ahead or catch up to find out there was absolutely no point yes you can charge but the works still got to be re done and you cant get that wasted time back it is extremely frustrating
THANK YOU! At least now I know I’m not the only one that gets it. For me the biggest issue is time wasted rather that cost
Are they compression fittings ? But your soldering them ....if so didnt realise you could do that ......👍
It actually makes little difference, the inside of the fitting is deep enough to be soldered and all here is left is a thread on the outside and a flange that mostly gets filled with solder. Alway use end feed if you can though. Customer bought the wrong ones and I had to do the job on Sunday morning so I was not chasing for end feed adaptors. They got soldered
Very wise words. You should never stop learning. Great content and amazing skills. Can see why you were so pi**ed when they said they gave you the wrong shower valve after all that work. Keep up the good work
Thank you
You do it the way not suites you
Customer error. He needs to be charged again for the job.
Agree with everything you said 💯 Levels to the game and you are on another level. Respect 🤜🏻
Thank you
If it’s not your fault you were given the wrong valve then charge them for removing it and fitting the correct one + any extra materials…. 👍
Charge them
Bish slap the customer and demand they give you 300 dollar more. Then, skip off with 300 dollars 😂.
1 forward 2 back Pal. Not your first rodeo. Cup of tea crack on.
like in software area, charge for evolution. Except that you have to add the charge for removal.
Charge for ripping out and fitting new simple clients fault not yours buddy but great work never the less
Keep a cool head, and charge them for the fuck up. Winner winner chicken dinner. 👍🏻
Customers always right
Charge them
I have fitted the same shower in my house and have found because the bar is flat water sits on it and leaves white marks instead of running off if round . means more cleaning
Extra days charge....fucks up the schedule but at least you get paid
Charge them for fitting then for removing 😊
Did same with the crutch on his jeans 😂😂
Auk gap bro
Charge extra
That's the wrong shower valve, mate!
More money honey. Charge them.
Charge them It happens all the time
Charge the customer for your time!
And they get tetchy when someone's checking what they're up to. Maybe if they weren't borderline criminals, the customer wouldn't have to keep an eagle eye on them in order to anticipate their next cock-up.
I’ve done that myself , it’s better than a comp fitting on a concealed valve… Improvisation……. 👍
Do you prefer liquid ptfe over tape...any leaks?
Liquid or Loctite 55and no never had issues
Are you soldering compression fitting? You can buy coupler with thread and end feed on other side.
Yes you can and that’s what I wanted and compression is what the customer gave me so I made it work on a Sunday morning 😂
