When we found that a Minister for Fisheries here in Norway had significant shares in a fish farming company she was almost immediately removed from office in disgrace. Heck, we had a minister removed from their station for failing to properly declare a diplomatic gift. It was a carpet.
@@Arbaaltheundefeated Whenever Politicians getting Backlash or even get removed from Office for Corruption, I strongly assume different Reasons, given how wide spread Corruption in these Circles is.
Espeacially your second Example sounds really like they wanted this Minister gone for some other Reasons and just said "Corruption".
It reminds of an former German Ministerpresident Christian Wulf, he refused to sign the TTP Agreement and coincedentally at this very Moment, Corruption Allegations surfaced against him and he was forced to resign. The Court found him only Guilty to illegally take 400 EUR.
On the other Hand we have Wolfgang Schäuble, he took 100.000 DM Cash from a Weophons Lobbyist, he faced NO legal Consequenzes at all and had a bombastic political Career afterwards during the last Decades
@@ottersirotten4290 Corruption is pretty clearly not widespread in this particular circle, though. Sometimes it feels like we're the one democratic country left in the world where the politicians largely still have integrity and honest intentions across the board left to right. I'm generally very critical of politicians but I am very rarely given cause to criticize our own beyond honest disagreement on policy. Probably part of why I'm so invested in UK and American politics, because there's so little happening here worth engaging with :p

For me the Case of that Foreign Minister still smells fishy, but that might be due to my inabillity of immagining having a non corrupt polit system^^
@@ottersirotten4290 Norway, yeah. And honestly I would have to say you don't feel it, most of the time, since I've grown up with politicians being honest. Hence why I keep being so preoccupied with and outraged by things going on abroad I bet! For me it's *that* which is abnormal.
