For the people who dont know how Lindt tastes and what the difference about cheap chocolate and good one is:
Lindt smelts on your tongue and becomes a waterfall of chocolate in your mouth while cheap ones like Schogetten and Milka get very oily and sticky on your tongue.

Love the fact that we both thougt of pez when you had shown these candy. Also love the fact that you have a "Knajz Milos" water battle.
And yeah, we Serbs really like snacks both salty and chocalate or candy, cuz we love to eat in general. We also have a word to describe someones chartacterisric of eating much, the word "Ješan".
There are so many more distinctively German sweets out there. Haribo, Werhers and Toffifee are probably the most well known sweets outside of Germany. I mean personally I would also say that there are better gummy producers in Germany than Haribo but detesting it like Tommy mentioned is pretty far fetched. Based Tommy. Halloren Kugeln Are incredible though (thank god for German unification).

in america we have pez, haribo, tobolerone, and werther's as the mainstream brands for their type of candy. cadburry and lindt chocolate are in all the grocery stores, with lindt being seen as the most quality chocolate you can buy - if you get chocolates on valentine's day, its probably lindt. cadburry is not really eaten though. knoppers are really well loved while being seen as exotic german candy. you can get them at aldi's or in the foreign section of american grocery stores. everything else is completely foreign

@@DangeHD i think the reason is that we don't know that Aldi is an abbreviation for "Albrecht Diskont". Because of this, our English speaking subconscious treats it not as an abbreviation, but as the name of a family who started the chain just like a lot of other chains in the USA (McDonald's, Wendy's, etc.).
Like, to English speakers, a company like "Volkswagen" doesn't actually mean anything. So, in theory, in order to confirm to the norm of a meaningless word being the name of a family, it wouldn't sound incorrect to say "Volkswagen's". We don't say that, but it would make sense in English

I just watch the video and about half of these things I think:"Hell, too bad they don't sell those anymore because of sanctions". Since 2022, I think, I haven't ate the Haribo gummy bears and stuff and these were the only marmalade sweeets I ate.
As an Australian, Aussie Cadbury is the only chocolate that’s popular.Mars bars anything else is just grandma chocolate or just off brand stuff.
