Episode Title: Parents
Premiere date: Fathers day
Rudy lost his left hand
Paul lost his life
Zenith is in a vegetative state
Father's day is not great for Rudeus
And there's even more depression still to come!
his left hand was named hercules, he named it when he started working around
Another thing i would like to point out, where pauls body landed. From his PoV when rudy approached him, in those last few moments. He saw his son, alive and well before him and the crystal cracking that was holding his wife. He saw that he accomplished what he set out to do and got his family back together, imo that was that smile. Paul accomplished his final mission AND got to see that it was done.
bro.... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Someone pointed out there’s a radio drama on CD that has Paul’s last thoughts. Here’s a copy I found:
My vision has turned completely dark. I can’t breathe… can’t talk either. Am I dying?
At least… I wanted to confirm whether Zenith is alive or not.
Not only that… Norn and Aisha. I wanted to see them again… Are they going to school…? Have they grown up…?
Lilia… what kind of face of face will she make? Even if it’s only troublesome… will she cry?
God damn it… I’m filled with regrets… I don’t want to die…
Still… there are… so many things… I wanted to do…
But… oh well…
It’s better than Rudy dying…
Stay positive…
Paul was angry at Rudy's attitude because he loved Zenith more than Rudy, but in the end he sacrificed his life for Rudy because he cared Rudy more than himself. It truly show that how Zenith and Rudy are both precious for Paul. Mad respect for DADDY PAUL and R.I.P🥲
R.I.P. Harem Ou
It’s even worse when you see Paul’s past in the ln
In the LN Rudeus theorizes about Paul's priorities being Zenith > Lilia > Norn > Aisha and Rudeus last. This first 4 might or might not be accurate but Rudeus didn't take into consideration that it was probably Zenith > Lilia > Norn > Aisha > Rudeus > Himself (Paul).
@@ShiNijuuAKL bro that's so true 😭😭
No, he doesn’t love Zenith more than Rudy. He was mad because he didn’t understand why Rudy was so calm. He outright said this when he asked Rudy why he was so calm. *Rudy* might think Paul loves Zenith more than him, but he doesn’t. He loves them equally, like any father would. What he said about saving Zenith even if it kills him was more to show his resolve than actually requesting his son to sacrifice himself. It was about _teaching_ Rudy what family does for family. If the situation was reversed, and _Rudy_ was the one in the crystal, he knows Zenith would do the same thing for Rudy as well, and it would go the same as it did here.
After Rudeus got over Eris in ep2 on s2, he named his right & left thigh with Tindalos and Baskerville (shown after his morning running session), and his right & left arm with Hulk and Heracles (shown after his push-up session). In the myth, Heracles got bitten by the hydra. So author foreshadowed this and let Rudeus' left arm lost to Hydra, and then...
The anime studio: "Hold on, Mr. Author. Let us help you ascend to even more height."
Proceed to air Sylphie's pregnancy reveal episode on mother's day, and to air Paul's death episode on father's day.
The studio is cooking indeed
This studio maaan. Holi kek.
wow what I was joking around saying that he lost his dad AND his arm which he got attached to and named, but totally forgot that it was named heracles
Dude, I LOVED Paul, I knew it was coming, I FELT IT, but I was not ready not even REMOTELY........ I am so sad and empty now, I need emotional support
He was my favorite character in the show too.....
The animators after delaying this episode until Father's day: *_"All according to plan."_*
The keikaku was NOT OKAY
I'm gonna be crying for the rest of the day.... this is some evil stuff from Bind to place this on Father's Day......
Just a reminder, they skipped a week of airing back in May, after Episode 18 (the Turning Point 3 one).
If they didn't, this episode would have aired previous week.
By the way, i won't call it evil stuff, as in a way Paul sacrificing himself to save Rudy does represent how a Father would do anything to protect their child and family.
they really took a one week brack just to air it on fathers day
These studios are ruthless. Last year, Demon Slayer dropped S3E6 (Sanemi and Genya's backstory) on Mother's Day and now MT dropping this episode on Father's Day. 😢
I think i broke down when the thoughts of Paul never being able to see his grandchildren hit me. We know for sure he would love having grandchildren and for him to not be a part of that hurts me. Like even now while im typing this im realising how much he is going to miss out especially with norn and aisha since they have their whole life ahead of them. Fucking hell happy fathers day
@@kurruptedvoid517 bro you just made me cry again!!!! 😢😢
This scene hit me so hard in the LN, and seeing it animated hit even harder.
Rudy loses an arm -> Let's be positive that it's just an arm and hydra has been killed -> Paul gets chomped in half -> F&ck, they had to double down but let's still have a bit of optimism that at least we were able to save Zenith -> Zenith has either severe dementia or amnesia -> Goddamn they really had to hurt me thrice!?
Also, Studio Bind reminded long-time fans how good their fight scenes are and gave S1 animation vibes in this episode. They just didn't have to do this for the Magic Academy arc.
S1 animations are great, obviously there was a slight downgrade in S2 but it’s really blown out of proportion. S1 NEVER looked like this episode, maybe for a minute at most in some episodes but this is the best animated episode in the series yet.
@@Pixxelll yeah there were obviously staff changes so I didn't particularly say it's really close to s1 animation, but more of the direction/flow of this episode's fight was enough to make a viewer go "this takes me back to s1's fight scenes" kinda vibe
Where do you read the manga?
@@jitzzy6325 It's probably more worth to continue/reread in the LN since the anime already overtook the manga a few weeks ago, and every manga chapter takes 1-2 months per release. So by the time this season ends, manga is just about to save Roxy. Also LN is pretty much no skipped and altered scenes since it's the original source. Already forgot where I read the LN though since it's been almost a year since I've last read it.
@@knockknackk318 Dammit! I need to read it. I have been reading everything since beginning and manga is way better
26:30 If Rudy didn’t go to, Roxy would’ve died in the dungeon, but if he did go, Paul would’ve died, it was either Paul or Roxy
Just thought of how Norn will react to this......
Yep, I have been waiting for this and it was perfect. All the reactions I’ve seen so far have been crushing.
You’re right, imagine now Rudy has to tell Norn she’s essentially lost both parents. Don’t forget about Aisha either.
Oh you know it's going to break her. But Rudeus is there for her. Just don't tell her he died saving Rudy.
Oh trust me, Norn won't give a good reaction to this. She loves her father figure and now he's gone forever.
She also told her brother to go and he lost an arm because of it. She'll feel guilty just for that.
@@andrewli6606 I'm not saying she'll blame Rudy but she's definitely gonna break down
It was important for them to bring up how rudy felt about zenith, not for that in itself but for what they didn't say. How MUCH rudy cared about paul and how much he bonded with him. He understands paul so much, and paul genuinely loves and respects rudy WAY more than anyone could understand (unless you read the LN but paul fucking truely holds rudy on a pedestal). He was the one parent in this world that rudy truely formed a parental connection to, even if it was awkward and a bit differnt than the usual case. And at the end of the episode, when his only remaining pillar of a parent isn't in a state for him to start to form that same bond with after just losing it. This shit was HEAVY.
8:29 so in the LN, Rudeus has actually been saying the spell names ever since they got teleported to the Demon Continent. He specifically does this when fighting in a group to give his allies heads up that there's a spell coming from his direction, as he did here and in the last episode. Last thing he wants is to have one of his Emperor-tier Stone Cannons going straight through one of his allies. Rudeus would actually be an absolute fucking menace if he didn't care about people's lives or collateral damage. The only time so far that he's actually tried to use his magic to its fullest extent was when he tried to nuke Orsted in TP2 - if Orsted hadn't used Front Wyrmgate to suck the mana into it, it likely would've removed the whole mountain they were on (in the LN, the spell actually ends up causing a small explosion in front of Orsted when the Wyrmgate breaks because it couldn't reduce the power any further).
18:39 yeah, Elinalise actually did make it worth going to the university for something other than getting stuffed down there every night
Paul's last act was to smile at his son.
This is the future that I think even Paul would've chosen given the options. One future that Rudy didn't come to help, Roxy would be dead, Paul still alive, and but maybe never finding out what happened to Zenith. Or the one we got, with Roxy, Zenith, and all three of his kids alive. Paul was true family man, as that's what mattered most to him.
Paul told Rudy to save his mom if it kills him, but in reality it was like he was saying that to himself as well. The true father "took a bullet" to save all of his family....
Spoiler:
Human god told Rudy that if he did not come and help, Roxy would be rescued by an adventurer and fall in love with him. Paul would still rescue Zenith though it would have taken a little longer time, but they would be alive.

Why would we believed Man god here again? It make no sense that Roxy would survine given how close to death she is in that scene. Man god clearly want to guilt trip Rudy when he told him that.
@@poktairattanaset8729
That is correct. I was just citing an explanation that Rudy accepted. I believe at the end of that dream, he believed that he will always have something to regret no matter the path that he chose. Becauss of that, he was more willing to do the man god a favor which leads to Turning point 4.
Yeah. It he meant it for himself@@DefinitivelyZach
I don't think they ever mentioned it in the show, but Paul's sword is magic and gets sharper the more resistant something is to cutting. If you tried to cut a piece of meat with it, it doesn't work and is extremely dull, but he's able to cleave through the Hydra necks while Elinalise can't because of the magic.
when u in big shock, you usually can't express emotion well, its how defense mechanism work to avoid devastating feelings. That's why Ruby didn't cry.....yet
Paul realized during the fight that his conversations with Rudy before entering the labyrinth that he has so many things he regret that he can never go back and set things straight especially with Rudeus. In his small time bonding with him even in danger he really appreciated that. Paul realized what he said to Rudy as his last words was wrong, Rudy's only child to grow without ever knowing him.
Paul can be hot-headed and irrational during the heat of battle, but when he saw his son in danger he didn't hesitate and shielded his son from the Hydra's direct hit. That's why he smiled at his final breath when he saw Rudy is alive - he finally was able to be a father to him.
In the ln cd it showed Paul’s last thought. I’m so glad it was me, not your Rudy
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Crying isn't the only way people deal with grief.
You're right
Rudeus in general doesn’t cry much anyways
"Do not mistake my silence for lack of grief"
-Kratos
The opnly time I remember him crying was when Eris abandoned him.
BTW it is now okay to watch the opening....
ok, next week I'll include it LOL
23:52
to be precise, the Man-God said Rudy would *regret* going to Begaritt.
He didn't say if things would turn out worse or better if Rudy stayed home.
That is actually true.
very astute observation, that tricky bastard didn't say the whole truth
Never trust man God he's sus cause he hided alot of details
He would lose someone either way. Since Rudy was the one who saved Roxy, if he never went Roxy would have died and Paul would have lived. I also think zenith wouldn’t have been rescued
18:37 Remember that Elinalise was also taking magic classes.
Regarding why they burned Paul's body, iirc Ruijierd did mention back in the day that they burn bodies of both monsters and fallen allies to prevent them from becoming zombies, especially in mana dense places, e.g. a labyrinth. Paul's zombie would have had his natural fighting prowess plus the fact that he would be undead and that would have been terrifying
This episode was traumatic and watching this on father's day omg they delayed 1 week just to release this episode on father's day and also i think the reason rudy didn't cry because he was shocked too much and and everyone takes it differently you can see it on Rudy's face how much depressed he is and norn and aisha man its just so sad 😢😭
Hitogami is still the villain can't change my mind
I kind of think of him like Loki, he's a trickster god that likes to watch the world burn. Watching Rudy's escapades is like watching reality tv to him
Little detail the anime rarely give attention to is that Paul's Left Short Sword is an anti-armour sword which has the propertly to get sharper than tougher the opponent is. When Paul was fighting the Hydra, you can see he uses BOTH SWORDS to cut off each Hydra head as he uses the left sword to make the cut through the armor and his right sword to cut the rest.
Just to add, this also explains why Elinalise's and Talhands weapons cant cut the Head,
To clarify, Rudy wasn't cocky or not paying attention. At the moment, when Rudy ending up burning the neck, causes him standing too close to the Hydra, that he can't see the whole view of the Hydra + it starts swing all its neck crazy at the same time (we saw Lise & Talhand blocking those), the moment it happened Rudy can't understand WTF is going on even with his foresight

I haven't seen this yet, but know what's going to happen because of the light novels. I didn't realize it was going to be released on Father's Day until I saw your title lol. This'll be a fun watch
thanks buddy. experiencing this together is peak.
26:00 Well, you have to remember, the Man-God said that, Rudy would Regret whether he goes to save Zenith or not.
If Rudy haven't gone, atleast for sure Roxy would have died.
1:40 i love that you also noticed this. Such a nice detail
The thing that I realized had me completely hooked to mushoku tensai is how relatable it is to literally almost anyone in real life. I Lost my Father 2 years ago to cancer and remember how I wasn't even there for his last day on earth because I wasn't home. Remembering the regrets of not being there. Remembering the things I never got to tell him and how much I Love him and appreciate everything he taught me. Every scene with Rudy And Paul had me in tears And I believe the same could be said for many many others who watch this masterpiece of an anime. Much love to You ❤and everyone else ❤️
My condolences to your father. Thanks for sharing this moment with me and the Mushoku Tensei fans. ♥
@@DefinitivelyZach thank You very much as well man ❤️ and seeing your content you've earned a new subscriber and supporter! I hope to see great things from you in the future ❤️
Bro!! you also noticed the more advanced healing Spell that Rudy uses to heal a part of his severed Arm. Man you winning today
They cremated paul right there and there, since if nothing was done, he might turn into an undead.
Regarding Zenith, she was trapped in the crystal for years, imagine what happened to her body during that time.
It would also be very impractical to drag a corpse out of the dungeon and take another day's journey back to the city. Paul's innards would also get everywhere. That and even if they did get it back to the city, they're not gonna transport it back to Ranoa or his home country; that would actually be impossible.
Damn Zenith really got Casca'd
salute to all the fathers. He died saving his family.
Considering zeniths condition. I feel like it would have been better to have considered her dead and paul could have lived on being a father to his children.
“How is he not crying?!”
The same reason the dialogue was silent when they returned and informed the others of what happened to Paul. He’s in shock.
The Man God warned Rudy not to go because I assume Paul's fate would result in death regardless of whether he went or not, but had Rudy not gone, Roxy would have also died, and its very likely so would Geese and Talhand, and the Mother wouldn't have been saved. So while Rudy going against the Man God's warning resulted in much emotional damage and the loss of a hand, it was still the result that had the least casualties. I suspect the Man God's advise is merely him seeing one possible future and giving a clue on how Rudy can get to that path, but time and time again Rudy always does things differently than how the Man God envisioned it, like the whole cat situation in the Demon Continent, Rudy went off script from what the Man God thought would happen. So the full reasoning of why the Man God told him not to go, im not sure of, it could be that he tried to spare Rudy the experience of his father's death, or that the path he saw lead to them all dying, the advise was definitely vague.
Rifujin really made this a lose-lose for Rudy, although I do agree, given there are only 2 results, this was the better of the 2. I really just wanted to mention it because we need to keep the man-god's predictions in mind as we go.
If Rudy listened to Man-God, Roxy would have died. There was no best outcome.
Another banger from the bindabolical studio🔥🔥🔥
This has been the most anime I’ve enjoyed so much since I watched anime. Honestly almost every turning point make me cry so hard 😢💔
Paul's last thoughts.
---
"Am I dying?"
"I want to confirm if Zenith was alive or not, at least."
"Not only that, but Norn and Aisha..."
"I wanted to see them again."
"Are they going to school?"
"Have they grown up?"
"Lillia - what kind of reaction will she have to this? Even if it's a pain..."
"Will she cry?"
"Dammit, I'm filled with regrets."
"I don't want to die..."
"Still... there are.. still... so many things I wanted to do."
Rudy: "Father!"
"But..... Oh well..."
"It’s better than seeing Rudy die."
I listened to the audio version of this they made for the light novel and cried again
Lize is about to be a great-gilf, actually
I mean she already is manytimes over. Sylphy´s dad was in no way her first or only child. She has had at least dozen kids over the few hundred years she has been cursed.
Actually if Rudy doesn't go, imagine Roxy probably would die and even Paul's rescue team made it to the boss room, Paul would act same even without knowing how to beat the Hydra and prolly dies to attacking without any particular plan, so I don't convince that Rudy going Begaritt is wrong.
Well the author actually told us in a QA session what will happen if Rudeus decided to not go to Begaritt in TP3.
This is a hypothetical timeline that doesn't happen in the story, so it's quite debatable if this is considered spoilers, but I will leave spoilers space regardless. I do believe what I'm saying here should spoil nothing about what the story is going to offer in the future, as this is just a timeline that never happens, so I think Zack you are safe to read.
Basically the author confirmed that if Rudeus didn't go, Roxy will die in the labyrinth because nobody was to rescue her. Without Rudy and Roxy (Elinalise will go regardless of Rudy's decision) in the team, also they don't have the teleportation labyrinth book that Rudy brought, Paul's team will proceed very difficultly, and end up the whole team collapsing due to either people giving up and leaving the team or simply get wiped and killed in the labyrinth. Of course Paul will never give up saving his wife so he dies there. Zenith will only get saved in another couple decades or even hundreds years later when there's an adventurer team strong enough to conquer the labyrinth, and even if Zenith doesn't have any issues with her mind, she will wake up in a time where nobody she knows remain anymore.
Yep that about sums it up. Thanks for the info from Rifujin.
Don’t know if the web novel is canon or not but in it Hitogami said that if Rudy did not go Paul would be alive, Roxy would have gotten with another dude, and Rudy would have gotten with Linia or pursina.

Happy Fathers' day!
I finished the novels a few years back and was waiting for people's reaction to this scene. It's fitting to release it on fathers day, Paul indeed sacrificed his life for son.
26:02 - My man Remember this thought, next season kekw.
So many reasons he could be smiling I like to think it's a few reasons. One is that he finally was able to help Rudy in some way. Second is that they managed to take down the hydra so zenith was safe and his job was done.
I love how they were signalling the obvious part about Paul for like 5 episodes straight but then still kept the most screwed up part unknown until the end for that emotional combo-finisher.
God you positivity in the beginning hit hard 😢
I had a gut feeling, there’s a second in the opening, and there was other hints in the last episode. But being prepared did not help😢
I’m not usually a cryer when people die apart from som exceptions (Rengoku or Nanamin for example) and more of a happy cryer (when Nezuko overcame the sun for example, that had me bawling my eyes out ) but what tips me over the edge is the other characters reactions 😭😭
At least it wasn’t father day for me, we celebrate that in November I Sweden.
If Rudy didn't go to save Zenith we can be sure that Roxy would be dead instead. That is probably what the Man-God meant by you will regret it eather way. He basically could only save one person. Roxy or Paul. His mother being like that and probably never will be the same as before is crazy.. This episode was on another level.
Rudeus has some mental block when it comes to crying, I believe the first time he ever cried in the new world was when he was 12 and Eris left him, after that, I'm not sure if he did since despite all kinds of things that happened. He's grieving in his own way for now.
happy father day to paul
26:22 For one thing, Roxy would have died, and Zenith is still not rescued. Without Rudy and his book on teleport labyrinth, they would not be able to get to sixth stratum and they would never find Zenith. Either way, either Roxy or Paul was going to die.
24:25 Yes, they burned him. Because they _have_ to. If they don’t, the mana could reanimate him as an undead. So they don’t bury their dead in this world.
Honestly I kind of saw this coming, the amount of death flags Paul was throwing out these last few episodes were crazy
Also you're the only reactor to be surprised that Elinalise can do attack magic. I havent seen any reactors notice that at all.
Happy Father's Day! 😭😭😭😭
Haven't watch it yet, but given you did medical breakdowns during Apothacary, I'm fearing how deep you dive at the end of this episode while still being in the moment at the end of this episode.
They really timed Paul's death with father's day😭😭RIP to one of the rare good anime dads
Anyone can cast a spell if they have the mana for it and, per Nanahoshi, everything has mana. Elinalise and Talhand, etc., having magic shouldn't be a surprise.
the end it's like the Avenger: Infinity war's end
Paul had to be cremated because of the risk of being turned undead while still in the dungeon.
Ah just in time for fathers day
I'll mention a couple things, but will hold off on Rudy's thoughts in regard to Paul's death and so on since they might cover it next episode (similar to with Roxy's time in the labyrinth). When Paul was young he had a bad relationship with his father but was very close to his mother. She was a bit sickly though but would come to visit him in his room every day, which was said to have contributed to her health's decline until she finally passed away, and his father blamed Paul for her death because of this. Paul was extremely hurt by the loss of his mother and that's why he's so adamant that Rudy do whatever it takes to save Zenith, because Paul didn't want Rudy to experience what it was like to lose his mother and feel like it was his fault she died.
Also they had to cremate Paul since burying him would likely make him return as an undead skeleton, and while Rudy had wanted to bring his body back it was not practical as it would be a 3 day trip back to the surface and they were already bringing back an unconscious Zenith. Also a number of magical items fell out of those mana crystals along with Zenith, but the party wasn't all that concerned with them at the time. As one of the hydra's heads was a bit wider than the rest Rudy was concerned that head was immortal like in the Greek Myth of the hydra, and was relieved when it turned out not to be. Also when thinking about Paul's chastising of him for not caring for his mother, Rudy thought that while she was more of someone he lived with, once he heard her voice it would all come back and he'd see her as his mother again, making the end far more tragic.
The Man-god said that whether Rudy go or not go he still gonna regret it
Rudy go to Begaritt : Paul lose his life, Zenith in vegetative state
Rudy didn't go to Begaritt : Roxy will be the one who died, and Paul didn't die but he never manage to save or even saw Zenith (from this episode we know that one thing Paul wants is certainty about the fate of his family. He would rather find Zenith dead other than continue to think about Zenith's unclear fate)
I think the worse regret would be if Rudy didn't go to Bergaritt
It shows you how powerful anime can be when it comes to drama.
oh boy mangod did not care about that part there was something else he was worried but hf with learning what it is in the following eps
F in the chat for Paul.
“It’s perfect timing for Mushoku Tensei to come out on Father’s Day”
Well…not for Paul😅
“The Man God warned Rudy not to go”
Did he though? Now, this isn’t a spoiler, but more of a personal opinion based on what has happened so far. I think his ‘warning’ wasn’t really a warning, but a threat(after all, “you’ll regret it” can also be a threat). The reason I think this is because of what happened with Roxy. She was *SECONDS* away from dying, until Rudy showed up to save her. And the only reason he made it in time is because he brought that book with him that made their trip down to that level much faster, _and_ because he sensed her when he was close and rushed to her aid, when *no one else* could sense her. So if he didn’t go, Roxy would’ve *definitely* died. And with Roxy dead, the party would be down a member. Three, if you count Rudy and Elinalise, since Rudy was the reason Elinalise made it there as quickly as she did And with less members, they wouldn’t have stood a chance against the hydra, considering they were _barely_ able to beat it _with_ Rudy, Roxy, and Elinalise, not to mention the fact that it would’ve taken longer to find their way to that chamber in the first place, _if_ they found it at all(because remember, the only reason they even found the hidden staircase is because *Rudy* recognized the similarity of that room to the teleportation ruins that he used to get there so quickly). So yeah, he would’ve regretted it *far* more if he _didn’t_ go, because the entire party could’ve potentially been wiped out if he didn’t, or they never would’ve found the chamber Zenith was in, in the first place. So the Man God wasn’t warning him, he had telling him not to go for some other reason, and tricking Rudy into thinking it was advice when it wasn’t.
Peak, but also I wish it never happened. Crying in the club right now.
This just shows that paul is a cut farther than any other father figures in anime, 50% to be exact.
The story between Rudeus and Hitogami is an analogy to the parable of Job and the Christian god - Javhé, since the latter gives him everything a man can want: abundant family, wealth, land, etc. to Job; so that later this will be enough for him all on a "mere whim." If you don't understand what I'm saying it's because later Rudeus will be betrayed by Hitogami and will lose everything he achieved thanks, in part, to Hitogami's advice, including his family and closest friends.
In short, this is one of the many biblical references in Mushoku tensei.
This arch also refers to the epic of the Odyssey by the author Homer the Aeda. Above all, it will be more noticeable when Rudeus recovers from the emotional shock and feels the urge to return home (Ithaca) to see if his wife and son are okay, but before getting there the long journey will be unbearable due to the constant stress and tension that Rudeus will have to think that what happened to him is not the worst that can happen to him, but that it can get even worse 💀. Finally, it's just PeakTensei lecturing any isekai that only remains generic and pretentious in front of it.
Remember when Zach was checking out the spring anime and I commented, "I think it will again dusturb Zach's mind?".
When the second season of "MushokuTensei" was announced, I worked backwards from the original episode and came to a conclusion.
I concluded that this episode would probably be the one right before the climax.
From then until now, I have not been able to comment on the reaction video.
I can finally share this sentiment with Zach.
Welcome to this side.
This one is thoroughly devoid of the convenient plot twists and turns that are common in Isekai anime.
I don't mean to put down other Isekai anime, but in many Isekai anime, Rudeus' left hand would have only been broken and Paul would have celebrated his victory by laughing with Rudeus, saying something like, "It hurts from the hard hit all over".
But that cannot happen in this work.
The author's pen name is "Rifujin na Magonote".
Rifujin = Unreasonable
Magonote = Backscratcher(Scratch-back)
You may have learned the meaning of Rifujin in this episode.
By the way, the original author is Tappei Nagatsuki of "Re:Zero," Natsume Akatsuki of "Konosuba," Kugane Maruyama of "Overlord," and Carlo Zen of "The Saga of Tanya the Evil," all of whom contributed their novels to the Web at about the same time.
They were very close, creating a joint chat room to discuss various novel developments, showing each other illustrations of their novels when they arrived, and giving away new books when they arrived.
Therefore, "Konosuba" is a little different in comedy, but the overall atmosphere is similar in its bleakness, don't you think?
Finally, once again, Paul was a great father, although he showed many no-no's.
I blame Norn! Rudy wasn't going, he got knowledge to navigate the Dungeon, strong to make a diference in battle
F*ing love this one, all in silence until they got with Lilia, and the no words but You can hear what they saying, and the first thing we do hear ae calming Word for Rudy, man this one hurt and was awesome.
Also Rudy not crying I thing is worse, cos he's bottling up all that sadness, remember at the start he tryed to off himself, now he could ve in a similar situation, last scene show that Rudy's broken
About the man god... Need to think again .. he has motives is all i could say
I had not connected that for some it's Father's Day, and it might hit harder (here Father's Day was 2 weeks ago). As for the Man god. Didn't Rudy specifically note that he'd have regrets regardless of which option he chose? Also, Orsted seems to have a beef with the man god based on how he reacted in the last season, I'd suspect the man god isn't exactly keeping the best outcome for Rudy in mind, but rather looking for some personal gain.
Yeah she's been using her as a Mana Supply
I feel like the disturb magic is still magic lol let's say that the dragon scales only absorb magic without the need to use magic themselves.
1:42 Well, she didn’t say blonde, but yes.
Elinalise have studying magic in magic school, she's not just hunting men
Man-god said it didn't matter which path Rudy took he's going to have regrets no matter what.
Stay at home with Sylphy and the baby but Norn would hate him for abandoning their parents and he would lose Roxy but have a child with one of the cat/dog girls.
Go save mom, and Roxy but lose dad and mom. (And technically his arm too but he did say that spell doesn't heal what is lost, meaning there is a spell that can give him a new arm).
Plus even if he stayed home he would still lose his parents because I doubt Paul would do anything different if it meant saving Zenith.
Only question then, is who does Paul die for in that timeline?
Turning point never miss
rough day...
Happy Father's Day. ( sadly this actually isn't a meme as the developers picked this day for that reason for the episode.)
If he didnt go, roxy would be ded cause he saved her. And itll affect him the same (like hed be stressed again)
Why does Rudy's future eye did not see that? The author forgot that Rudy can see the coming attack of that Hydra using his future eye, just to add a tragic part in the story.
Rudy was nerf. Where is the Rudy that killEd that dragon who is fast and can use future eye efficiently?
Imagine if she wasn't Zenith at all but Zenith's twin sister, and the real Zenith was somewhere safe but don't remember her past life in another continent peacefully and married again.
26:36 and now back to reality 💀💀
Worst Part about all this.
This is not the worst thing that will happen to Rudy.
Fatherless day 😢
He warned him not to go, BUT if he didn't go, Roxy would be 100% dead.. They even said the only way they found her is he smelled/sensed her and busted through walls... But yeah this was a GREAT episode.. Next two episodes are going to be interesting... And the Norn talk is not going to be pleasant.
I am damn sad I am thinking what Rudy sisters react and wife 😢
FINALLY! A male UA-camr doing that crying skit every girl on UA-cam does. Hopping your videos reach 1 million views because I know there will many females crying.

Rudy's choice of going to Begarrit is actually the best choice he made.
