I'm in uk scouting about for a decent 98 2 door , i will be taking the rear seats out and fitting new front seats which are much lighter , will also do other mods to try and lighten the vehicle improving it's mpg. Any ideas from other owners will be greatly appreciated .
Hello. Where did you find this rav 4!!! I am trying to find a 1998 2 door 5 speed; it's practically impossible haha. I am thinking of these seat for my 1998 toyota tacoma ext cab. I am thinking how long will they actually hold up as a daily driver🤔
Awesome video! I've been thinking of installing these on my car as well because they are marketed as 'suspension' seats. Can you please tell me if the Baja XRS seats really 'suspend' the rider from the road bumps? Thanks!
I mean, you still feel the road like normal, but they're noticeably better than the seats that were in the car before. No magic, but they're comfortable and don't jar too badly.
I intend to install these seats as a replacement for the stock seats in my 2003 GMC Jimmy 2door. I have gleaned from watching a number of these UA-cam clips that these suspension seats sit “a little bit” higher than the stock seats. However, nobody can tell me what a little bit means. Is it 2mm or 2 inches. It makes a huge difference. Corbeau makes a seat bracket for my application (actually its for a Chevrolet S-10 but they say it’ll fit). It’s 3.25” tall. However I do not want the new seats to be any taller than the stock seats. In fact I’d prefer they sit an inch lower than stock. Corbeau does sell both a 2” and a 1” universal bracket but without knowing how much taller the XRS is than the stock seats I have no idea what height bracket to order. In your video you said the seat actually sits lower than your stock seat adding to my confusion. Did you order your custom bracket to sit lower?
In the Rav4, the seat is lower because of the brackets. My guess is that the seat is about 1.5" lower. I got the bracket from Corbeau, no special requests.
They're great. Just finished up a week-long trip to the beach where it drove through dunes, across lots of very rough sandy beach (tire ruts), and the only thing that has gone wrong is a slight squeak in the driver's seat that I can probably oil up. My head is a little higher on the headrest than I'd prefer so that's not ideal, but other than that we have no complaints.
I ordered all my stuff directly from Corbeau too. They very nice to myself. All other places try get me take universal mounts or nothing. At same price if not higher. I seen other you tube sites & them universal brackets lot times appear are a unwanted headache. Plus add in the safety issue. Do the job. Do it properly. For a worry free long life of product.
Mine just got delivered yesterday, they’re still sitting on my Jeep’s roof rack 😂 About to go install them 🔨🙌🏼
Beautiful rig I love these I finally found one and it's in my drive way
Awesome video thanks for the info on the seats
Sure thing!

We got a lucky, a family friend had owned this one for 10+ years and we asked them to let us know if they ever decided to sell it.

What did u do with the old seats? Was your Ravie lowered?
We tossed them, they were in bad shape. The RAV4 was stock height in this video, and is actually lifted a couple inches now.
How seats been doing ? I looking at very same seats for 11 toy tacoma.
They've held up great, we've gotten them dirty quite a few times and they clean up great, and the foam is holding up well too.
Thanks my order be drop off to my house in few hours. Got to be a lot better than I had.
Did the brackets come with the bolts for the seats or the seats themselves had them on?
The brackets came with the bolts.
what is your long tern review since its been a while since installed?

that seat is worth more than your whole car.
Nah, but both seats together are work about half of what we paid for the car, no exaggeration.
