A lot of the tutorials say that if you're getting more of a zipper sound that you need to loosen your lips more but don't really explain how. In your opinion, how do you loosen your lips while trying to learn this sound. I get that you shouldn't 'pout' and just let them be, but I think this is one of the hardest obstacles to overcome. Great complementary video tutorial by the way - props!
This might help you guys, if you do a zipper you drop you're jaw down as well. When you do the zipper position hold ure jaw in the position just before you do the zipper sound. That should help you're jaw placement.
That doesn't make sense just be sure that your lips are wet to roll and move your lips on other side as possible, that's why water are important for beatboxers

One day, after 8 months of trying to figure this out and failing, I woke up being able to do it.

So I can kinda do the outward but it last for like .5 seconds without breathing... I can figure out how to keep my lips loose for the inward
I'm practicing for some time now and the sound evolved from a fart to a wet fart
