one of your best surfing so far💯. looks like the board combines the effortless glide of the original hypto (got my fourth already..) but added the ability to high performance ability like any other short /all-round board. how was it in weak less than 2 ft waves? did it lack the glide and free feeling? 🙏
Looks good under your feet mate 👍🏼 Lol, the funny stuff is what keeps us punters coming back with smiles on our dials when the wooly notifications pop-up 😊
@@mrjessetatum hi mate. Really depends on where you are surfing. This whole review was filmed in WA and it worked really well in the EPS. If you’re planning to surf bigger waves than what’s in the clip then definitely look at a PU. This is my favourite HS so far.
Very different outline that the P2 and HE. If you like the FF construction and your looking for a everyday board with a pintail, then this is a good one.
Hi Wooly, excellent review. Your flow looked real good on this board. I’m looking for a daily driver. Surf your dimensions and currently surf a phantom PU. Curious your thoughts on how the future flex will feel for someone who surf mainly PU? Also how does this compare to the holy grail as a daily?
I like this one over the Holy Grail. You will find the FF will have more spring in smaller surf and helps generate speed, I do like the EPS boards in waves that I have to generate speed. If the waves are good quality then a PU wins for me.
@@mep51794 very different boards. For me the P2 needed a solid wave to get going. It has a pinched rail through the tail - quite fine. The HH is more of a daily driver everyday board.

I liked the Red Tiger in good quality waves shoulder high and up. The Holy Hypto felt better in the chest to head high range but could also go to overhead quite easy. If I was planning to surf waist to head high surf most of the time I would grab the Holy Hypto. If you’re planning to surf head high and up then the Red Tiger would be a good option. Both are boards I enjoyed riding.
Awesome review Wooly, was nice to hear you'd tryed a lot of fins on it but seems like the medium Blackstix and AM2's were your goto's. Hi mate Pretty different boards even though the DIMs are similar. I think the XG would surf down to smaller waves and the HH would handle slightly bigger surf due to the outline and tail shape.

Hi mate The Hypto Krypto is much fuller in the nose so you could ride that shorter. The Holy Hypto has a much narrower nose so you will need to go longer to get the same volume. Yes it works well in 1 to 5’ but would work better 3’ and up.
Looks unreal wooly! How did you find the width? The 5'10 is more my volume but the 5'9 seems a more managable width! What do ya recon? Custom 5'9 and stretch it to a 5'10 or just go the standard 5'10?
The width was no problems for me even though it was wider than my normal 20". I like to stick to standard DIMs as so much work goes into getting the files right for the shape.

Hi Wooly, how does the Hayden construction feel compared to a FireWire Dominator II Helium Tech, LFT on other FW boards or a PU board construction? I am considering a Holy Hypto but I don´t have any locally to check out in Portugal.
Hi mate, The FF construction has a little more flex in it than the FW construction. It feels a little; more 'springy' than a normal PU board too. Yoiu will get deck dents but less than a standard 4oz PU board. Mine has held up quite well after 10 surfs.
