The Magnaguard’s growing on me, I didn’t like it right out of the box and my electric effects kept falling off. But after messing it around with it more, it’s actually a really fun figure with tons of playability.

Honestly, this figure is nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be based on early reviews. Mine isn’t warped, and I don’t really have problems with the shoulder pads, thankfully. Put him in a pose and he looks awesome next to Grievous. Overall I love it, and I can’t wait for more CIS droids like the B2, Droideka, and hopefully Commando Droid!

The legs on mine are not so bad but good lord the shoulders are annoyingly awful. They should have been hard plastic

The warping can be solved by heating up the plastic either with a hair dryer or in hot water, gently bending the warped area back into place, then dunking it in ice water while holding it in place.

@OutOfTheBasement its not worth buying, good choice. No cape, no gun and the paint is pretty similar to the original release. I just really love grevious.
I like the IG100 alot, they are one of the droids that you gotta respect because they are so aggressive.

I figure they will repaint this in the colors the Magnaguards were painted on the Jedi Survivor game eventually.

I seem to have lucked out with my first of these guys, legs seem to be okay maybe some light warping but easily hidden with some inventive posing. One shudders to think what a plastic inlay would have done to this guy!

Once mine arrive if i have shoulder pad issues i might just end up gluing them on
just for anyone watching there is a swivel just above the knee, but as it is the same light grey plastic it looks like one solid piece. It may be stiff but I found if you brace each side of the knee peg with your finger and turn it will swivel.
Also while it sucks that there’s such poor quality control and you shouldn’t have to Customise a figure just for it to be playable, I Glued the shoulder pads to the arm like the 2020 clone mold and glued the effects pieces to the staff. Now they are really fun to use and not as finnicky, especially if you get lucky and pick up a droid with more balanced friction in the joints

Have two of these. Hope to get two more to go with my 10 x normal and 10 x Genosis B1 Battle Droids . Just need 2 x Destroyer Droids and 2 x Super Battle Droids. Should then have a nice little army.

I just got mine! And like others have noticed, the pauldron popped off as I was opening it. And he seems completely incapable of standing "at attention." He badly wants to lean to one side. Never had so many issues posing a droid!

Awesome! This is one I’ve been waiting on now for a while. Finally got my orders fulfilled by Pulse. Plan on opening 2 or 3 of them for some good dynamic battle poses. As an in-box collector too, I’m bummed this is one of the last PFP droids we’re gonna get. I’m sure this would’ve really rocked a window box. Appreciate the review!! 😬

BTW, the Obi-Wan Kenobi (Jedi Legend) figure from Obi-Wan Kenobi does not
have a PN number (under the barcode) on the box. All the rest Galaxy ones do.

It is a really nice figure. I bought one to try. I’ll get another. Honestly I gave the more pointy staff to the HK droid. Seemed more appropriate. I gave Morgan the evil Scarlet Witch hands with black tips and green magic effects. The fun of collecting a few 1:12 lines. Accessories can be shared.

Can't wait to do some shots with this guy. Outside the awkwardness of the shoulder pad and QC leg issues this is a banger for me.
Speaking of RotS colors for the magna. Isn't kind of weird we don't have a single Galaxy Packaging RoTs figure yet. Something really cool for RotS has to be on the horizon I hope.

The feet on mine are on are wrong(left foot on that right leg & vice a versa) hopefully with some hot water I can pull out the knee pegs & correct that, great review as always, keep up the good work👍

One of My figures legs are off center at the “thigh swivel” 😂 I did a repaint because the off white color was meh. it’s a decent figure definitely cool for display! Ps shoulda had a thigh swivel

There was blue ones and gray ones in ROTS. But this is a bit light gray, I still think they referenced ROTS based off the shoulder pad weathering which both have 2 scratches in the same place as ROTS.

I know a lot of people have been harsh on it but I found one for myself at GameStop the other day and actually really dig it?!? The shoulder pad thing is definitely annoying though. Just gotta pop it back on after you pose. -Justin

Been seeing some concerning issues from this line lately. The shoulder pads and legs on this...the too-tall/too-short Baylan and Shin, the questionable design issues with Pre Vizsla...
I'm really hoping they kill it with the B2 and Droideka! The new Anakin and Padme look like great figures. -Justin
Aw , it's ok . No biggie.
I think it was at least 5 too cheap .
Who cares if it has gummy plastic or can't stand without a stand .
And two staffs are kinda excessive , we really only needed one .
Maybe a 49.99 price point and could righteously get more , but honestly for about 35 after tax and shipping , I feel like we're taking advantage of Hasbro's generosity .
We should all expect issues for this bargain price .
I'd like higher prices please , and gummier plastic please .

I've seen a few reviews of these. Opinions seem to vary between, it being a terrible figure and hard to pose and it being a bit of a gem.
I always liked them so if I see it for a reasonable price I'll get one or two.
They seem "a little short for a Magna Guard" to me.😁
I also think Grievous is too short and the B1 is too tall, lol! It's hard to tell with some things. -Justin
