The first new intellectual property in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios has finally arrived! Set in the far flung NASA-punk future of the year 2330, we assume the role of a member of Constellation, a dated organization of space explorers. In the Settled Systems, 50 light-years beyond our home of Sol, we'll uncover churning political intrigue, incredible artifacts beyond understanding, immense questions about humanity, and hopefully just a few answers. Expect new videos daily.

5:30 Barrett didn't get his eyes taken out by the Crimson Fleet. That log was made in the case that if they were to eventually kill him and take his ship that they wouldn't find any ''treasure'', just the log of him laughing in their faces beyond the grave. Barret's like that lol
I think the name for the character should be The Professor, especially since that's the signifying background of the character, and it's easily memorable.
It's a nice callback to Railroad code names too. Pretty sure Professor was an actual codename.

I normally find it difficult to read in games, so it's very nice to hear you read most (if not all) lore/notes. The way you read and your thoughts around it make it more interesting.
I was editing a horror screenplay to meet my deadline but then I saw Lyle playing Starfield. I like to think I have healthy priorities.

I think k the i.plication is that Barret left the slate in the case that pirates caught him as a f u just in case. But the pirates haven't caught him yet
I remember Todd going on about clutter in the Starfield direct, and thinking so what, but watching you actually play the game, I am shocked by just how much enjoyment all the clutter adds to the game, it tickles the looting/investigating part of my brain.
BGS games are inventory management simulators with RPG elements. xD

„Erde“ (two syllables and pronunced [‘Air-de] - “de” is unstressed) means „earth“
and „Bräu“ [Broy] (Throat R or Rolled R) is southern German or Austrian and means „brew” or “brewery”.
In this case, I’d translate it as “Earth-brewery’s light beer”, “Earth-brewery’s Ale” (Erdenbräus Helles, Erdenbräus Ale).
I am curious about, whether they’ll correct it into proper German in the German version of Starfield or embrace the idea of keeping it to be just vaguely familiar for us earthlings.

The 10th Planet was the space game Bethesda was trying to make in the 90's.
E should be default button for looting, works the same when looting ships you have blown up.
Just like Fallout 4 your Medkit/stimpack is automatically set to the Zero key already.
I always put my name as Red since it's my nickname and it's so cool that both Codsworth and Vasco say it. Literally just a color, so it's nice and easy.

The "10th Planet" sticker is a reference to Bethesda's original attempt at an open sci fi game way back before even morrowind!

The first time Lyle sounded genuinely aggressive, was "can I break that FUCKING GLASS" and I find it very funny. In the start he also got mad that he mistook a window for a mirror. I'm gonna say that Glass to Lyle is like Sand to Anakin XD.

I couldn’t even do the damn space combat in very hard how the hell did you do it? When I got to the pair of them the second always killed me I had to change difficulty. All the space combat has be done a level or 2 down it’s insane

I believe the first slate wasn't a log for the pirates if they ever were to board the ship sort of like "If you're reading this, I'm dead."
Tokamak x 300 class a reactor is the best Class A reactor.... That will allow you to allocate more power in your pips... And you can also get a better shield which would be... The 60S Protector.. it has 800 shield health and it doesn't use very much power.

You might not see this but the consumable you were looking at at the beginning the m doesn't stand for meters it stands for minutes thats the amount of time it lasts for
You can upgrade any ship that you commandeer... The whole point of having a targeting system isn't just to destroy ships, it's so then you can take possession of bigger more badass ships...and pirate ships... Just about any of them and then just upgrade them. You can have up to 10 ships, that you can switch between that you take possession of. You don't have to register all of your ships you only have to register them if you're going to upgrade them. You can sell your ships without registering them you just have to have a lot of them first... Then the ship that you want to sell without registering it has to be in the 5th slot. There's a video that will show you how to sell unregistered chips.
In this game, one unit of gold is worth 2 rolls toilet paper. Oh yea.

Vasco can actually say a lot of first names. My character is called Vaughan, and he addresses me as 'Captain Vaughan'. I suggest researching the names he can read. Some extra immersion.

they really avoided putting literally any sort of effort into this game huh? it's telling that the most interesting thing to point out in these first 2 videos is just the clutter. I really didn't expect anything good about this game at all and...somehow watching this is still a letdown. I'm glad to see Lyle has fun but...yikes, that's hardly even a game at this point

You should see my ship it’s massive prison ship… it be cool if there was multiplayer cuz when you got a ship that big it gets lonely lol I believe I can have like 42 or 44 prisoners total but it’s cool the mods they got make a new play through exciting… I’ve done like 3 play throughs and got to new game +8…

I gave up on scanning the planet I would get to 80% and die and be back at 71% and there’s a critter you basically can’t beat also

No Man's Fallout is the best way to describe it. Never played Mass Effect but from what I've seen they are completely different types of game.

The PlayStation fanboys are going absolutely crazy! They claim Starfield is terrible but never played it, they claim any game with invisible walls is lame. But they forget boring walking simulator games like death stranding has invisible walls and boring as heck! Spider-Man is lame as fuk, some dude wearing his PJs and other games that tell you to press X button now ha ha.

idk, i personally don't hold any loyalty to any of these hardware brands. the hardware being used is just the means to an end. i'm more interested in the creative works of the dev teams. console war stuff seems like nonsense to me.
microsoft now owns a bunch of studios that make some of my all-time faves and i'm absolutely loving starfield, but i do also really enjoy a bunch of sony exclusive games. personally i'm hoping that spider-man 2 is great just like this game, because i'm fully planning to play it in own time off-camera whenever it comes to pc lol. i loved the first one and 100%'d it on ps4. the new god of war games are even on my long list of games i want to play on the channel some day lol.
