I borrowed this game from the library and I loved it! I didn't end up finishing it, but I still found it fun. I definitely agree with what you said about the saw's controls. I had to restart so many times because I couldn't finish the pattern in time because of that dumb saw!
as a firefighter i can help you on a couple of these. the fog stream, or mist as you put it, removes smoke and gases. its called hydraulic ventilation. as far as the Haligan bar goes, you do stick it in the lock and break it, then you have to put it between the jamb and the door and pry open.

If you really want a firefighter game , you should go with The Firemen for Super Nintendo. It's fun, it controls well, it's a little crazy it feels like an arcade game. And you have a magnificent moustache.

Totally agree about the Haligan bar being difficult to bust open doors and the controls not being good at all, I agree the same with the Jaws of Life being how they want them. I am a rescue squad member, and it is not close to real. Also on the saw, I totally thought in the training it was useless, how awkward it was to put a saw in that position to make a cut, in reality, you could make cuts on the sides, and then axe your way thru the rest lol.

Wish the remade the Firefighter game on the super nintendo. It had allot more to it. Like boss fights. Giant gass balls, amok robots and so on. I unfortunatley never got far into the game because it was realy hard! Exploding windows, floors colapsing, spreading fires everywhere! THAT would be awesome on the wii! :D

A house down the street from me was the scene of a fire a while back that apparently was started with a container of gasoline stored somewhere in the downstairs area. One child died at the scene, another, taken to the hospital, succumbed to injuries a few days later. Bizarre and tragic.

Further, like the comment was made: who stores oil in their home? The last time I went to pick someone up (EMT/FF), I didn't find them hoarding any oil or gas. There's just a lot of weird stuff going on there, but at least they tried being creative.
fire fighters job are not repetitive but then again this is probably coming from a reviewer who isn't or has ever had the experience of being a fire fighter. The games may be repetitive but the actual work is never a repeat and there are always things you will never expect.

When I saw the thumbnail to this video, it looked to me that was a kid friendly game; one that's for kindergardeners. But when I saw this, boy was I wrong! Maybe I should look better at a video's thumbnail next time...
hey reviewer, did u play the tutorial? Its common sense the sprinkler mode is for close "combat" fires when you are all surrounded by fires, so yea, its not useless.

This game is absuloutly awsome!!! i have it but im stuck on the shopping mall level anyone know how to escape when you see smoke the it explodes how do you get out???????????!!!!
@QuintonHuffman561 I love it too but I do wish you could go on random calls or earn your emergency vehicles drivers license and actually drive the engine or aerial to calls. That would be cool. Anyway good game though. Beat in less than 24 hours. Very fun.
i am also a firefighter yes you did say some of the tools wrong but how were u to kno what there called, and like u said its repetitve but i did laugh at it while playing and i think its a good idea more for the younger people to help them get an idea about what firefighters have to. all in all its a pretty good game
it's just like call of duty 4, I don't think real soldiers have to deal with those situations in real life either, oh and please review little king's story it 's the perfect game to review right now
to be honest changing the way the water flows out of your hose in the game is really just add for realism and does nothing but in real fire fighting its used to vent windows and stuff.
