- We decided to walk the 588 steps from the Santorini town of Fira back down to catch a tinder to our Celebrity Cruise ship. It was only raining lightly, and the cable car line was about a 2 hour wait. The walk down would be simple, right? Wrong! The light rain soon turned into a torrential down pour...and this video right here is the story of how we survived a Santorini monsoon with our two good feet wading through a river of Donkey Poop Water!

The cruise ship laundered all of our things for free...it was crazy and at the time we had no idea about the time until we got to the bottom and saw just how close we were to almost missing the tinder.
Sis I would have had to leave y'all. You gals kept stopping to take vids n pics (that I love looking at) but I would have been to scared to miss the tinder. I would have been like " I'm out! See you on board" lololol
ROFL....you see Erica wasn't with us...she was gone (but she also fell twice). I was walking super slow because I had on those ballet flats and did not want to slip. The other funny thing is while walking down we didn't look at our clocks the entire time so had no idea how close we were pushing it until the lady at the end was like hurry up and get on this boat. We had no idea it had taken over an hour to get down. And that's what I love...how the Universe took care of us even in our ignorance, frivolity and desire to just stay in our bliss and have fun the entire shit*y way down...LoL

@@FunandBudget And I wasn't even concerned about the time. I was like 'I don't like heights, and I wanna get my arse off this mountain!' lol I had no idea what time it was, or what time we needed to be on the tinder (I hang with the logistics folk, so I never worry), I just needed to get down!
Yup...and what this has taught me is I hang with God...and he has got my back in such amazing ways that I don't even need to know or be concerned...I love it!
This was truly one of the most memorable days EVA!! What I LOVE is that we didn't even start this journey together, but as God would have it, we caught up, and were able to experience this memorable event with each other (almost in pairs). In what some would consider a "challenging" situation, we had fun, took care of one another going down, and were so grateful that we got to see rain in Santorini. We have been through STUFF together and came out victorious! I love having you Gratitude Sisters in my amazing life,. Each adventure just continues to confirm and reaffirm that everyone has the capability of living their best lives. I so LOVE my Fierce Flock!
And I was sitting here laughing watching you and Simone hold on to each other down the mountain...LoL. But yes, people don't even realize that at some point we lost/left you and DonnaMaria and just knew you took the cable car down...next thing we know...here you two come and you two didn't even know we were walking down. I love it! Birds of a feather truly flock together. Thank you for being my bird...LoL.

OMG, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Tinesha and the Fun and Budget Act for memorializing one of the craziest, funnest, wettest and happiest days of my life (and Y'all know we have some happy days)! You Ladies didn't know that once I realized how high up we were in that wind, I needed to stay close to the wall and keep it movin. I couldn't take a pic or even wait for Y'all--I had to go! So, while Carla and I started together and met up with Y'all, Erica and I linked up and got down together. And they kept telling us to go to the tinder, and we were like "we aren't going anywhere until ALL OF OUR FRIENDS are down", and that was that--we waited in the rain. And then we saw Y'all laughin and strollin as if in a featured movie--but wait--we were! lol. We are bonded, my Gratitude Sisters! We have literally been thru Shit (I'll say it, Carla! lol) together, and we made it on the other side even more amazing! Love Y'all to LIFE! (and why Y'all didn't tell me to THROW THAT CRAPPY RED UMBRELLA AWAY?!! LOLOL) TOO FUNNY!
OMG...you have me sitting here laughing, crying and trying not to spit out this mouth full of coconut oil..LoL. Girl, I LOVE it!!!! And You are right, I had no idea. It is so amazing how everyone is living their personal lives inside of the group life...and how everyone gets to take care of self and tend to their own needs and inner guidance and how PERFECT It all is...how at the end of the day we are all ok and end up where we absolutely need to be and with whom we absolutely need to be and STILL with each other some-amazing-how. You all are the greatest examples and the greatest reminders of how absolutely awesome and wonderful this life is supposed to work. I love myself when I am laughing, then again when I am walking this planet in love with you ALL!

We were on the same ship with you and my husband did not let me take my phone out because I would have dropped it, just like the multiple times I fell down the donkey poo rain stairs. I was able to get the concierge service to clean all of our clothes and donkey doo shoes and everything that I dropped in the donkey poo water. Once again thank you for taking this video this will be awesome to use when we show our friends are excursions.Be blessed
You are so welcomed! At first I had my camera out and then things got real...LoL. But Querin had her phone out that was water tolerant and I think it was also in a water proof case..so between the two of us we were able to document this priceless experience. Telling people what we survived is one thing...but actually seeing it is another. And yup, I was able to get concierge to clean 60 pieces of laundry for 6 of us.

I was in a similar downpour in Athens some years ago. It was summer and hot. The rain flooded the streets, just ankle deep...the Greeks ran for cover, we tourists wandered around enjoying the respite from the heat...key thing: wear sandals
This was a great memory. We were there that day! It definitely WAS a crazy adventure. So many stories to tell at dinner that night!

Girllllll They are FABULOUS! I'm going to do a follow up review video on them. Querin, Carla and Donna Maria ended up having to throw their shoes away...mine ended up being as good as new.
