Matthias, what a humble and kind person. Makes me appreciate him much more after hearing his stories. Dark Angel and Matthias scared the shit out of me as a kid. Matthias was absolutely fearless!
interesting guy. its a shame hes not more known by the general public. people like him work so hard to make it in the business. I think guys like this deserve more recognition..
Him shooting with Dolph is very close to my experience shooting with Lindsay Lohan. She had a huge trailer and was segregated from everyone else and everyone on set had to talk to other people and have the messages go through them. I had a small simple trailer but got to hang out with the crew and all the staff and got to bond with them.
You are the man David! You got an interview with one of the stars of the second movie in the Craig Baxley holy trinity of action movies. Thank you so much you made my week. I was going crazy during the first interview with Matthias saying when is he going to talk about I Come In Peace! I Come In Peace is one of my favorite movies and I watch it all the time. Now if you could only get an interview with Brian Bosworth and talk about Stone Cold. That would be something.
This guy was a legend in my childhood, No Retreat No Surrender 2 was a big favourite of mine. Im so glad you got him on for a podcast. Its great to see him looking well and i really enjoyed his origin story. 👍👍 It would be great if you could get Cynthia Rothrock on here.
Matthais was such a bad ass in Dark Angel & holds his own against Dolph, i remember this film was a huge rental hit on vhs in the UK & become a cult classic.
Matthias is a guy I have met a couple of times and is super nice. This was an interesting backstory. I actually used to have the theater standee on display in my house of him as the alien.
You know what surprises me and is cool as a kid i hated this guy because he was the bad guy and scary especially in Mission of Justice etc, now you listen to him talk he's so humble and kind its crazy to think how i actually felt about him when watching him in movies
Matthias was great to listen to! Glad you got this interview! I remember seeing the posters for this when I was a teenager! I was big into action and sci-fi/fantasy then and still am =)
I was just thinking about the movie Dark Angel before Matthias spoke about his memories of it, but i remember watching it on VHS back when it First came out with my sister one night. we where both impressed with how cool this movie was at the time.
Crazy how I watched Dark Angel for the first time ever only a few days ago and then next second you post the first video with Matthias Hues. 😊 I really enjoyed the Movie too, it aged really well
i don't know what it is, but i appreciate Matthias Hues and his "unbrutal deliveries of honesty". he understands to work from the bottom of the ladder to the top of it. he should be more recognized in the mainstream. more great names endorses you David. you're on the roll. will there be an international betting scheme in place for the coming up match? ossu 🥋
A great pleasure to hear, again, Mister Hues. Always very pleasant to hear you but, unfortunately, Fist Fighter would be more explained, because it's a good movie, with the great George Rivero. The story of Mathias is real, with his hard life... A great storyteller ! Many thanks !!!
Matthias is badass!! I still watch I Come In Peace aka Dark Angel still to this day. Saw it for the first when I was really really young and it was like watching a horror flick every time he was on screen. Now it's definitely an action staple in my heart. Hopefully he gets a chance to be back in a major movie on the silver screen!🔥🤌
VS I saw your comment but decided to delete mine in case someone gives everything away but it's not bad. Let us know what you think of it if you can in an upcoming vid but also good luck in your upcoming fight. Its going to be one of those things since it didn't get good reviews you might like it more due to lack of expectations which does happen.
Samurai, good video I remember seeing Mr.Hues in "I come in peace"he did a great job. What Mr.Hues said about having to be connected in Hollywood to make it, I've been saying for years. Few people would admit that. As far as not being able to reach Lundgren on the set,he is just another privileged steroid baboon.
Viking, how are you brother. I'm getting all this AJ stuff in my feed about you. He really has some issues with you doesn't he? Goodness me! Did you see my post yesterday about how I watched No Retreat Surrender 2 one summer morning at 7am with a bottle of beer in 2005 after Google sent me my first cheque for my first $10k a month. Will never forget that morning watching NRNS 2. Matthias is a legend. Can't wait for this dam Last Kumite to come out. How's your training going? You better not lose this fight. Don't let us down. haha. A lot of the comments on Aj's vids were all laughing saying how your fight will be pre-planned and rehearsed to suit you both. The losers will be people who think they are spending money on a real bout How do you feel about this?
AJ is the biggest hater and any time someone tries to defend me or say something nice in the video comment thread he deletes it. I could honestly care less what he says or thinks bc he lies and twists things and people already see how lame and pathetic he is anyway. I'm way too focused on spending my time and energy on leveling up and planning and working towards my future. There will be more fights and more movies, that's what I'm working towards.
@@VikingSamurai I respect you, even if your fight is "Fake". You are well-spoken, train hard, and could probably rip someone's head off if you wanted to. @@arielless1118 Yep yep. I did a lil research on it myself it wasn't that well received which theoretically I can see why. It's one of Albert Pyun's first films and it wasn't that high budget as I recall. But yeah everything about it is kickass.
Matthias gives a masterclass in humbleness and how to be a down-to-earth human being. I love him!!! ❤

I agree, in cases like these where he is not more well known, most of the time it's because he isn't an ass kisser like so many in that business.
I came in peace.
