1. Make the crust by placing 35 whole Oreos into your food processor and pulsing the cookies on high speed until they crumble down to a fine crumb.
2. Then pour in 5 tablespoons of unsalted melted butter into the food processor as you continue to pulse the cookies. This will ensure evening mixing.
3. Now dump the Oreos crumbs into a 9 inch springform pan. Then evenly press the crust on the bottom and up the sides of the pan.
4. To set the crust, place the pan in a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 minutes.
5. In the meantime, add 4 (8 ounce) packages of room temperature cream cheese and 1 cup of granulated sugar to a stand mixer. Make sure to use good quality cream cheese here. It will result in a super creamy and rich cheesecake.
6. Using the paddle attachment, turn the mixer onto high speed. Beat the cream cheese for about 5 minutes scraping down the sides of the beater bowl every other minute. This will ensure a clump free cheesecake!
7. Now add 1 cup of sour cream 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Turn the mixer on high speed and beat again for 2-3 minutes.
8. Bring the speed down to low and add 3 eggs and 1 egg yolk (one at a time). A good way to know when to add each egg is when you longer see yellow streaks from the yolk. Then scrape down the sides of the bowl.
9. Now roughly chop 12 Oreos with a knife and add it to the cheesecake batter. Mix on low speed until combined. You want to avoid over mixing the batter or your cheesecake might crack on top.
10. Now preheat your oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit and pour the cheesecake batter into your Oreo crust. Bake on the center rack for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once it’s done, turn the oven off and let the cheesecake rest until it completely cools down. Do not open the oven for a few hours. This can cause your cheesecake to crack as well.
11. Once the cake has cooled to room temperature refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
12. Then you can decorate it however you want. I made a white chocolate ganache. To make this, just pour 1/2 cup of boiling heavy cream over 8 ounces of white melting chocolate wafers and mix it until smooth. Then let it cool and thicken before pouring over the top of the cheesecake.
13. At this point I just went ahead and completed the decoration with a piped border of heavy whipping cream and halved Oreos.

Used this recipe for my thanksgiving cheesecake and it was SUPER delicious!!! Everyone loved it, I just substituted all portions that involved regular sugar for erythritol. And did milk chocolate ganache instead of white.

Hi, loved how easy this was to make. Haven’t tried it yet as it’s for my bf bday. I was wondering if I did anything wrong as I had a lot of left over for the cheesecake 😅 It was enough to make 6 cupcakes. Also my mixture was a bit more runny than yours looked like. To not waste it, I did the cupcakes and put it in the oven with the cheesecake, I know they are not going to be as smooth as I don’t want to open the oven lol but just didn’t want to throw it away

Regarding the extra cheesecake batter. This cheesecake is a little taller that your typical store bought cheesecake, so it may be that you didn't put all the batter in. If you did put the same amount of batter in as in the video. Then there is a chance that you may have added a little extra of an ingredient. It didn’t affect the flavour or texture as it tasted amazing and was super smooth and creamy, also with the ganache and decorating no one could really tell it had a crack lol. This is almost exactly how i make mine, except for one change. For the crust, i like to take the creme out of 2/3 or the cookies (leave 1/3 whole), and add the creme to the filling. This makes for a deeper chocolate crust thats not as sweet. Also, since the creme adds sugar, i add sugar to taste, probable half a cup or less (I like a cake on the less sweet side). My family loves this cake, and always asks for it; its delicious!

Regarding the baking instructions for a cupcake version. I have not tried making a mini version for this cheesecake so I am not entirely sure. I would keep the temperature the same but I would decrease the bake time significantly. Possibly half the time (probably under 40 minutes). This is since it is at a lower temperature. The lower temperature is to prevent cracks but for the mini cheesecakes you don't have to worry. You could bake at 325-350 and it would possibly be done in about 15 minutes. However, you would want to keep an eye on it since I am not too sure. Hope that helps. Let me know how it goes :) This way I can pass on this information to my viewers if they ask the same question :)

Hmm that's interesting. I always bake the crust since it set it in place better. Since the crust has butter, you don't need to grease the pan at all.

Hi :) I have never tried cutting this Oreo cheesecake recipe in half so I am not sure. Using a different size pan will require a different bake time. Since I haven't tested it myself I can't really tell you what size would work best. Hope that helps clarify :)
How do you make the whipped frosting topping you decorated with?
Hi :) I use a cup of heavy whipping cream with a few tablespoons of granulated sugar. You use an electric hand mixer to whip it up. It usually takes a few minutes so be patient. Hope that helps :)

Hi, most grocery stores carry the white melting wafers. They are much easier to work with than the white chocolate morsels. The wafers thin out better and are easier to use. However, you can use the morsels if you want to. Hope that helps :)

Hi Deven, no that won't work for this cheesecake recipe. These ingredients and the bake time is for a 9in pan and it fills it all the way. To use a 7in pan you would have to adjust all the ingredients to allow them to fit and then adjust the baking time. I have not tried this recipe in a 7in pan so I don't know how to adjust it. How I halfed this:
I halved everything except:
-I just used two eggs, don't worry about fractions of eggs
-I used 24 oreos for the crust in an 8" pan and it was good. 22 might've been enough.
-I personally added a couple extra oreos to the filling
-You can't buy half cups of cream where I live so I used a whole cup and just had extra whipped cream instead of ganache
-I used what was left of my 48 oreos to decorate and still had a couple left over
It came out perfect even with the same baking time! (No cracks!) It served 10 medium slices, perfect for a small party.

Hello, yes, oreo cheesecake can stay fresh for up to 5 days in the fridge. If you think you’ll need it beyond that length of time, then the best bet is to freeze it. The freezer will keep it fresh for 1-2 months. Enjoy 😊
Is the cheesecake supposed to be jiggly
My toothpick did not come out clean after the hour and a half of baking
Hi Matias, it is ok to have some jiggle to the cheesecake. After it is done baking it still sits in the oven. The toothpick test is only to test baked cake layers. It depends on the size of the glass tray. If you use a 9x13 inch, it will fit. But the baking time will be different. I have not tried it in a larger pan so I am not 100% sure on bake time.

I just remembered one thing. Use the hand mixer before the eggs are added. Then use a hand whisk. It incorporates less air and help prevent cracking. :)
Hi, I have seen recipes that use a water bath in a lower rack in the oven. I know you did not mention it but do you suggest doing that or you see no big difference?

How come it did not deflate? How can i avoid deflation? Many thanks
The cheesecake can rise a little but it should lower back down. If your middle deflated and caved in a bit then you over mixed your batter. Over mixing incorporates air which then expands and shrinks which causes the caved cheesecake. Hope that helps clarify :)
How many calories in the whole cake and in one portion?
Hi, there are 720 calories per slice if you cut 14 slices out of this cheesecake.
I have 9 inch but have half the cheese and I have a small family as well. How do I modify thr recipe?
Hmm, great question. I have not tried doing half the recipe in the same sized baking pan. I am afraid the cheesecake will be too thin. Also, you would need to half the crust as well. But if you cut the crust in half, there won't be enough to spread on the 9 inch pan. If you do to full crust recipe, the ratio of crust to cheesecake will be a bit off.

@@emmamartz991 Are you referring to the ganache? No, you can't substitute those for the heavy cream. You can just omit the ganache.

Hi Kamille, using an electric hand mixer just whip heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. I usually use about 1 cup of heavy whipping cream. Make sure to use full fat cream. Hope that helps and I hope you love this Oreo cheesecake! :)
