One of Amerca's great HBCU rivalries. SU seems to have more volume, but JSU brought the heat by matching with the drills and selections of music. Love change up from the tiger run on. Both schools performed well.

SupervillainDW , You have to be kidding me. The intro was sloppy, poor attacks and releases and people playing in the gaps. The band is not even in sync for the end of the 1st
drill and 70% of the second drill, then you have false starts, stops and alignment problems throughout.
Far from exceptional, however perfection is always relative to one’s standards.
J M : (45 people out of thousands) That only confirms my assertion, that exceptionality is relative to one’s standard. Just as someone could prefer a ham sandwich to a steak, or a dog to a cat, some could see JSU performance as exceptional, in my assessment, NOT! However, certain things are not opinionated, just as ham and steak are meats and dogs and cats are animals, so is the fact the JSU had poor attacks, releases, individuals playing in the gaps, tempo issues, false starts and stops in their performance, which negates the term exceptional when a common musical or performance standard is applied, this is irrespective of your allegiance.
Most notably, missing in your rebuttal was the attention to the facts which I suggest are not arguable.
I'm a man who gives honest feedback, and that's regardless of my allegiance to the Human JukeBox! I love how JSU entered the field. It was unique, and different from the Booms normal entrance. Also love the fact that JSU executed two drills, especially the circle drill. That circle drill had my full attention! I mainly judge bands on their precision drilling techniques. The Boom have the drills down packed! As for sound, the Boom was well on point! Lastly, imo, the Jsettes have always been the standard for HBCU dance lines. I never compare the Jsettes to the Dancing Dolls, because both are unique, in their own right. Well done JSU!
